Hi everyone!
a little question about site's preferences:
have you see that some kind of images sell better in some sites than in others?
thnks!
-
Oh yes, for sure. But, one could spend pretty much time describing here what some sites like more or less. Maybe we could help you more if you tell us where did you plan to submit your images...
-
Yes but there's precious little detectable pattern to it. The best-selling image of a series on one agency can often be the worst performer at another agency and vice versa. I cover a wide range of subjects too and again I can find no pattern as to whether particular subjects do better or worse at each agency.

I don't submit any vector, neither any person's shoots (I don't know where can I or my child be presented), and not videos. Just photos.
The best selling image that I have is (a surprise for me) a wooden boards background. I must understand better this business if I really wanna make some money.
In Shutterstock I have 98 images and more than 1000 downloads, but in Istock they only approved 11 images and there I have only 1 :o download. That's because I'm asking this, it's strange for me.
thank you for answering!

it's not strange. many shutterstock images never get into IStock. it's because SS likes the oversaturation and post processing. IS wants your original shot as perfect as it is , straight out of the camera.

Maybe the rule is a bit more flexible for exclusive artists :D

you don't mean me? i left IS 6 months ago. it's just from comparing other people's images that i found this to be true.
as for the exclusive artists flexibility, like you call it, we won't get into that. we already know the answer ;)
