Title: Where are the limits?
Post by: Ariene on January 08, 2014, 04:32
New year has just started. Last year, like almost every year, we had some cuts in $ and %...
I wonder if there are any limits that 'you' will say "no way" to stock prices?
What is the lowest $ and what is the lowest % that you'll accept? Are you ready to work even harder, to give more and more photos for cheaper than today?

Example:
iS is taking 85% (15% yours) and pays even ~0,08 - 0,20$. Will you sell your work for 5% or accept 0,03$?
What if others cut to 10% or to 0,10$ for DL?
Etc...

I'm hoping I never have to agree to <50c for a sale or 30% for a commission, which is already too low.
Oh &*%$!, of course I already get only 20% of sometimes low sales amounts from Getty.  :'(

So why did you sign up with iStock?

This is 2014, that was 2006.
And indeed, even then my first sale was a Sm (no XS then) for 22c and I felt I'd been kicked in the stomach.
As I feel now with <$1 sales from Main, if it's a low-demand, low supply subject. Totally absurd.
