Title: Which sell better: vectors or jpegs?
Post by: KenD on March 29, 2014, 12:44
Some of my images, derived from painted artwork, could be produced either as scaleable vectors or as very large (e.g. 65Mp+) jpeg illustrations.  I'm wondering whether it's more profitable to produce one or other format, or perhaps both. Any thoughts?

Vectors are probably more profitable, but it depends on the images (it would be great to see them). Also, if you are talking about profit, you should consider the time it takes to produce them, and which sites you are uploading. On some sites, uploading vectors is a real PITA or even not possible.
