I would like to find some sites to sell photo prints. I tried RedBubble before and never sold anything.

Which sites make good sales? Any sites accept RGB images? I hope I don't have to convert the images into 4 colors. Thanks.

There is also Imagekind and FineArtAmerica. Many people I know are very happy with the latter, but all lack a decent watermark in very large previews. There is also Artists Rising, which is a waste of time IMHO, but is the gateway to Art.com.

I don't know if Zazzle sells prints well.

Thanks, Borg. I looked at smugmug before, it charged a hosting fee. Has it changed?

Maria, how many images did you have on FineArtAmerica before selling your first one? Do you sell landscape photos there?

Smugmug again!

I have very few images in these sites and only sold at Art.com, but last sale was years ago, 2007 I think, and never managed to cash those sales.

Many of my SP colleagues who have landscapes and art in those sites I mentioned before report good sales.

Yep! They are still charging, but there you have whole payment infrastructure, excellent pricing system for downloads and especially for prints and some merchandise products with your pics...
I think that is better option than own website, especially because payment system (payment systems are so expensive)
For now, I am paying 16$/month for PRO account (with selling system), bu there is available annual payment 120$/per year (these prices are with bonus coupon)...
You can try 14 days of trail period...

Wow, Smugmug has increased price since I looked. It was $40 per year, I think. Do you get good sales?

My Sister thinks this is the best place in the world. I don't sell there, I've looked and there are some interesting artists, especially in jewelry and other creative fabrication. There are some photographers and "fine art" photos. Maybe someone else can comment. My view is, sort of an eBay for artists? Feel free to disagree and correct me.

Personally if I was to be selling online prints myself, I'd go with SmugMug for the price and value. They handle all the details and have a good reputation, the website hosting and infrastructure is their baby. You can use them and have a virtual website, so it doesn't just show as another collection in their big website. Your own personally look and feel. I don't sell prints and most of what I shoot, I can't legally sell prints, so it's just an opinion.

$130-$150 a year is what someone might pay a year to host their own website and then you would need to have the software, make prints, do shipping, billing, and do everything yourself. Lab, gifts, backup, video, private gallery, watermark... At that point, $150 a year doesn't sound so expensive.

Here's a friends site using Smugmug for event sales.   http://photobyedmund.com/
