there could be also SEO reason... You can't find Adobe files via google search.

This maybe true for you but not everyone. Shutterstock has been doing very well for me of late but Adobe is always a little ahead, normally by $200-$300 a month.

Different ports will do better at different agencies so everyone will have different experiences in terms of turnover between agencies

I get about 1/2 as much from adode than SS which if the poll on the right is about average...adobe though is showing steady growth for me...without climbing their rankings so overall they must be doing better.

If someone sells a lot of editorial photos and footage in SS maybe they won't see the same sales trend in Adobe.

from my personal experience I feel that landscape, travel and editorial do fairly well on Shutter where with AS/FT they tend to like more people and studio still life images. Just my two cents (about what iStock pays us per image  :()) ....

One relevant item - Adobe/Fotolia heavily weights your first seven keywords compared to the rest of them. I don't know how significant the difference is in sales, but I make sure what I think are the most important keywords are among the first seven.

I think it depends on your portfolio.  Each agency has a different clientele.  My best sellers on one sometimes are never sold with the other.

At the moment, AS is doing better for me than SS but sometimes it is the other way around too.
