What applies to Instagram applies to FB with their new 'contract'.

All your digits is belong to us...........(and NSA, GCHQ etc, etc).  :)

That is the FB old TOS.

There are new ones soon taking place and probably has something to do with the SS agreement they have for offering our images on FB.

Got the FB email yesterday

are you a photographer at all? instagram is fun, and if you want to have an idea of how the next generation think you need to at least put your toe in the water.

However, your final sentiment sums up my opinion of Twitter quite nicely.

Twitter is more important to me then instagram. In fact, Twitter is a great marketing tool. You miss out if you dont use Twitter. I am sure you disagree.

Exactly. Twitter is somehow useful. Instagram is a legal risk. This is not the first time they make bad news with their TOS.

Can you please tell me, as I've asked twice and no-one has answered.
I can't seem to get into Instagram without signing in. Can you watermark an image before it goes up there? I'm thinking that would be fiddly with a phone image, but I use my phonecam when I use it at all like a mini camera and dl it onto my computer when I get home.

their TOS is crap, anything they say must be tried in court, and this will be hit or miss, see the recent legal battles between apple vs samsung and oracle vs google about stolen and unlicenced source codes.

as for their right to resell your images, i would like somebody show me just one famous photo that has been resold by a social network earning them a considerable amount of money.

all i'm seeing is newspapers stealing images from FB and other socials everyday but without paying a dime and without putting a credit or a link too.
