It seems like this summer SS, 123rf and StockXpert are winners. Other either loose or maintains their positions. Is is typical situation during vacation time?
-
I'm not with 123rf, but both SS and StockXpert are doing nicely for me.
-
I'm having a very different experience. IS, SS and DT are the best performers for me. StockXpert and 123RF, not so good.
-
I suspect two things.
- I am new to microstock and these 3 I mentioned are probably easiest to push photos thru so I was able to build up some portfolio
- Others might not like type of images which are majority of my portfolio. Fotolia and IStock take least number of photos I submit.
-
I'm fairly new but it's SS, DT, iS and FT. I do find iS a bit frustrating. The only images that seem to sell are from my first couple weeks of uploads.
-
The first year, SS will always grow as long as you upload regularly, but this also depends on what kind of portfolio you have. For me, SS is sinking during the summer, while the others are growing.

A good trick is not to upload all of your images at once.
If you have a big batch of images upload them in parts every week. This way your stuff will show up first in most search results.

i have the opposite, last month was decent, this month SS and StockXpert are dead, 123 isn't good. IS and DT are at least close to last 2 months.

This month Fotolia is racing ahead.
I have had a great month there so far, making three times the earnings on Shutterstock, which has always been my best site in the past.
Keep going Fotolia!

If you check the Alexa rankings, Fotolia seems to be the only micro that is picking up steam at the moment. All other major micros are tracking downward.
