In those cases you can just upload directly to the agencies. :)

These are duplicates of ones already uploaded and accepted by 8 top agencies !
They have Rejected 17 out of 17 images !  and Twice now !  as I uploaded again in disbelief !!

Just received an email telling me their standards are being tightened !  Too tight it seems !?

I will stop uploading to them now, as more trouble than they're worth !!  It was supposed to be the EASY route !!  Really !?   :-\

They are saying, your images are duplicates of those already found, on the agencies you are trying to submit them. Either you have uploaded them before or someone else has. Have you tried a search to see if your images are already at these places?

Wirestock: "Our system has access to thumbnails of images uploaded on public webpages. That way we are able to detect copyright infringements and duplicate submissions. "

Yes they are reviewing and accepting my images just fine. You might want to look into why your images are already at those agencies rather than blame Wirestock for being too tight or calling them closed down?

Or write and ask?  :)  Support Team Wirestock <[email protected]>

You have a duplicate problem or their software is broken. Ask them. Please come back with what they say? I'd like to find out what happened and why.

These are New images Pete !  there are similars out there, but not these actual ones !!  they didn't mention Duplicate or Similar, just said they didn't like them !?  Uploaded lots to them and this is the 1st rejection !!  Maybe just someone being lazy ??

Got in touch and they apologised !  :)  and they are now reviewing them again ;)

Oh I quoted your post rejected for "These are duplicates of ones already uploaded and accepted by 8 top agencies !" So I went at it from that.

Yes, they also have rejected one of mine and when I edited and uploaded again, it said, something like, you have already uploaded this image before.  :) These people aren't going to be like some of the others. They have machines working for them.  ;)

And yes, isn't that different? Support not only answers, they actually care and it doesn't take two months to get some canned reply that doesn't seem like anyone read what we wrote. If they can get that metadata import working? And of course making sales isn't them, it's still us. They are just the funnel that pours our work onto agencies.

Good luck!

And what are your experiences with them saleswise? I have only 70 images online, 5 sales so far.

Duplicate was the wrong word to use !!  Very similar is a better phrase ;-)

I have only 155 images online with them, so far and just 4 sales ;-)

Quote from Wirestock :

"We have made some changes to our curation policies and are now only accepting images that have a likelihood of getting approved by all of our partner agencies."

As different agecies require different images, this makes it unlikely that Wirestock will deem ANY images uploaded to them as acceptable !?  So I'm out of here ;)  Not worth the time and effort any more !!  It was supposed to be the Easy route !

the probably did that because you will have some contributors that upload 'stupid' stuff, i.e., they will take 30 pictures of their big toe, 50 pictures of their nose, 25 closeup pictures of their bum while sitting down in a chair, etc, etc... it makes sense they would do that, I'm surprised they didn't from the start!

They are a relatively small team and there's only so much they can handle. Since they do the keywording in-house and want to improve the quality of keywords (and they have considerably) they had to start rejecting more. Makes good business sense.

Yeah, sorry if I was mistaken by the wording. I understand alternate versions can be "different enough" even if somewhat similar.  :)

I thought they did that from the start? But add another time I was wrong?

Yes, this is Microstock isn't it?  ::) Leave any opening and someone will try to game the system or spam the market.

That too.

Just can't wait for my next set to upload, to see what of mine qualifies as "images that have a likelihood of getting approved by all of our partner agencies." and what doesn't. I'm usually careful to start with, but this leaves them time to review and reject similar and Crapstock.

I'm still happy that I can upload for three places that I don't care for and move on to more important projects, like cleaning the goldfish pond.

Wirestock isn't for making money, it's for being lazy and easy submissions with much less work. Putting the same images on the same agencies with Wirestock or doing that yourself, isn't going to change sales. I don't know why anyone would think that anything changes. In fact, doing our own keywords will make more sales than someone who doesn't know the specifics and can only write a generalized description.

There's no magic or way that WS will improve sales, or make more money, over doing the uploads yourself.

But I'm staying with them because easy submit to DT, DP and P5. While SS, AS and Alamy I work for myself.

WS doesn't take Editorial, no vectors, no Illustrative Editorial, no illustrations with releases... The process and service isn't for everyone. I'm very happy with what they do best.
