Just an update about the UK-Australia tax rate. Lee replied, nice to see that some sites are responsive to contributors. All's well that ends well.

Hi __,

You're right. We've updated it to 5% for the February payments and will soon make a separate adjustment payment to correct the January calculations. Sorry about this! We'll clean it up shortly.

Cheers,
Lee.

Now that it's been a few months since this announcement went into effect, I'm noticing another glitch. The amount they withhold for taxes stays in my account balance. Eventually, I will have over $100 in my account each month simply because it is taxes. So do I get paid based on my new sales (sales of at least $100) or do I get paid based on my account balance? When will the taxes withheld be taken out of my account (if ever)? It's a very strange system for sure.

In Canada I can claim back the withholding tax as a deduction against my income and I sell a ton of video on Shutterstock and Videoblocks and this year I sent those tax forms to my accountant just in case she needed or wanted them and to my surprise it was all claimed back.  Now I know.

Was a nice little offset to how much tax I had to pay this year.
