Hi

I am looking for a good way to find a stock agency for working as a image inspector. Does anyone know about agencies that is now looking for new people? I have read that the different sites have their own ways of inspect their images. So I guess the requirements and salary also is different from agency to agency. I'm pretty much just looking for where to start and how much i can expect to make from a job like this.

Any help is much appreciated

I'm pretty sure you can expect peanuts, and tired eyes.

Isn't being an image inspector a form of capital punishment?

Can't speak for other agencies, but as I understand it, for iStock at least, it's by invitation only.

Given the amount of flack I have given these folks over the past year or so it wouldn't be possible.

I believe that in the case of Shutterstock, you need to have a minimum number of images online, something like 600 I think. An the pay is indeed minimal at best.

A friend's daughter did it for SS a couple of years ago. The 'pay', if I remember correctly, was 5c per image inspected.

Wow .05/ image inspected! If you can do 200 images/ hour that'd be 10.00/ hour ( I think that would be a tough rate to do sine thats over 3 images / minute).   I think I'll stick with my dayjob.
