Title: Year End Review for December 2008
Post by: Freedom on December 31, 2008, 11:43
Let's give the big 6 a year end review.

Some agencies are doing surprisingly well and others going downhill even with many images added to the portfolio.

This poll is meant as a comparison of its own performances in the Decembers of 2007 and 2008, and not a comparison with others in other times of the year.

Let the truth be out.

Happy new year!  ;D

Oops, the Poll function does not allow for multiple votes. Then just vote for the agency which has the most decrease in revenue.

please add a "none" choice in case we increased our portfolio and earnings at each of the sites.

If the situation is not applicable to you, please refrain from voting. Thank you.

You can also make your own poll.

please add a "none" choice in case we increased our portfolio and earnings at each of the sites.

It's been an interesting year. My first foray into the micro side of stock. I signed on to 11 sites and have since dropped 3 of them for lack of performance. I hope to get a portfolio of around 5000 by the end of 2009. It's so hard to judge success properly because of the flagging economy.

You definitely need a 'none' button. I made more money this December on all these sites.

If you take consideration of the increased portfolio, I agree with you that many sites are doing worse than December 2007, because the revenue should have increased in porportion. However we are in a recession so I just want to have an idea of how bad it is.

But he only wants to hear the bad news and only about one site. It is a poll created in such a manner as to make a point, not collect any unbiased data.  ;)

It's true that each pollster has his own reason to create a poll. If you think this poll does not reflect your situation, apparently you are not in the population that the poll is targeting. This poll is only interested in collecting data of the site which has been most adversely affected by the current economy in December 2008.

I am actually surprised by the current results. IS is not my worst. I am also surprised that DT is doing so well even though I know it is doing well.

If you are interested in a more balanced poll to reflect those who are doing well, please make another poll.

You definitely need a 'none' button. I made more money this December on all these sites.

Of the given choices, I have to pick StockXpert, but then Dec/2008 was an awful month for me there.  If I compare the whole year of 2008 vs 2007, StockXpert had a significant increase.

The only conclusion I would get from this would be "most StockXpert's clients don't buy in December", but as we see in another thread, some people are having BME there, so this conclusion from my numbers isn't valid.  So, Freedom, I must also agree with the others that this poll doesn't say much.

The worst result was Stockphotomedia, from EUR 1.35 to zero.  ;D

Adelaide

You need multiple choice on this poll. For many contributors, more than one agency fell dramatically. For me, IS and StockXpert fell like stones, although StockXpert fell the most.

I had only a few images last year at this time so I have increased everywhere but there isn't a tab for that I would imagine there are a lot of others in the same place as I. Needs one more tab, increase at all sites.

Best,

Title: Top Three All Did Worse than one year ago
Post by: beisea on January 08, 2009, 18:26
My top three: IS, SS and DT all finished significantly lower in Dec 08 vs Dec 07, certainly 2008 is better than 2007 as a year, but the Nov/Dec drop is so big, it's just non performing.

My DL's on istock in Dec 08 were down by a couple hundred on Dec 07 in spite of adding nearly 1300 images to my portfolio.

I put it down to the best match shafting independents starting in mid October.

I should add that Canstock is way down over 2007 stats, but they aren't part of the poll and I guess most people gave up on them a long time ago...
