Yesterday I made a couple of questions to Getty ...

Why the downloads that I find on this page
newbielink:http://www.istockphoto.com/user_stats?id=12504814&Offset=-1&DownloadsGraphFileType= [nonactive]
are not present in the monthly summary of my royalty earnings? I have I have a few sales there.

And they said this:

"We have changed to an entirely new royalty system and some of the old stats that you are referring to are being pulling from old systems that are not accurate, and by a mistake, these are still visible and in the process of being taken off the web.
So, anything you saw on the user_stats.php page,or profile page, or Deepmeta in 2017 is irrelevant as a royalty bearing transaction.
Any royalties, stats or graphs you see through DeepMeta, 'Profile' tab or iStock links is not valid as royalty bearing transaction and will not reconcile with your royalty statement.
As of of January 1st, and until further notice, the one and only place where you will see transactions that are accurate and royalty bearing is on the monthly royalty statement."

I think it is absolutely not true, what do you think?

That's what they're saying in their forums and Fb groups.
I think it's pretty much unbelievable; but they are so tech-challenged, how would we ever know?

I guess they are accurate in the sense that thats what you will get. I find it hard to believe in its current state even at 15% commission they could the fund the army of forensic accountants needed  to as Trump would say "Find out what the heck is going on"

Leaving aside the amount of the royalties, but the fact is that the dates of the sales indicated in the old iStock page does not correspond to none on the monthly summary of royalty earnings.
This is not the 15% commission, but do not appear at all! They disappeared into thin air!

"the one and only place where you will see transactions that are accurate and royalty bearing is on the monthly royalty statement"

Where does one have access to this?

Had the same problem an EL clearly showing on the old stats page and the first answer was

"As we mentioned in our October 31st newsletter, royalty calculations are no longer occurring on iStock, so we have removed access to royalty data.  Any royalties you may have seen, may be seeing through DeepMeta or legacy iStock links is not valid"

then I got a second email some time later

"Note that Extended Licenses are not reported as Extended Licenses on the new royalty statements as the type of license is not indicated. Only the method of payment (in this case, credit pack), is reported. The $**.**** sale is for the Extended License and one of the $0.**** sales from that day is for the original purchase. In the iStock stats, they combined the sales into one - in the Royalty Statement it is broken up.

Please also note that we have stopped using the iStock system to report royalties since the beginning of January - as we have switched over to the Getty system, it is inaccurate to refer to this data."

So the EL I had was effectively shown as two separate sales records which added up to the mythical EL sale on the old stats page which of course was inaccurate even though data of course came from Getty/iStock and was later proved to be accurate in a round about fashion ::)

Which was one of several straws which broke the camel's back and made me leave, giving up iStock as the sickest of bad jokes.

My login doesn't work on the ESP site, nor do they answer emails, I am trying the "reset password" trick.

I don't get this. If they're no longer updating financial  information on the iStock site, why do I keep seeing new sales popping up on the user_stats page? I just had one yesterday, so updating is happening. Is there a ghost in the machine that's randomly adding fictional sales stats to that page?

The user_stats page reported a very-rare-for-me EL last month and it was for a fairly substantial amount. Now I'm wondering if I'll ever see that money.

The opacity of this reporting system is really infuriating.

I stopped uploading to them when they announce the commission cut.
I cannot see that I will ever again.  I do not trust them or the accounting.  The cut was too drastic, I made 1/10th of my monthly income last month.

I do not think they are being honest about sales -- the whole new system has kind of Enron feel to it. Just not a good feeling about this company ---feel like the lack of transparency is intentional and/or can be too easily manipulated.

It is definitely the first time I've ever really felt paranoid that sales aren't being accurately recorded. I'm not really sure what they can do to get that trust back or if there will ever be a clear resolution. I guess this is what happens when you completely destroy the iStock reputation.

They did promise a "new kind of trust" - the kind where you don't trust them at all.

It is definitely the first time I've ever really felt paranoid that sales aren't being accurately recorded.
Facts stated, no opinion:
Every sale that DM and the stats page reported in Jan and Feb exactly matched the sales reported in my Jan and Feb GI sales report (with the file, sale count, and sales amount all matching). Except for one sale that was shown on my stats page graph and in DM.

Opinion: So am I to believe that both DM and the stats page somehow made up this sale out of thin air?  ???

Unfortunately I also think that the new reports are not totally accurate. The whole site is messy in all fronts and I doubt that if so many things are going wrong the account department is in pristine condition.

I hope they get more transparent and fix bugs quickly because you can screw in many technical aspects and people might still carry on if sales are there, but if the licensing reporting is not properly managed, accurate and clear as glaciar water contributor-Getty relations will go sour quickly (even more than now if this is still possible....   :-\ )

I suggest you one thing: On Deep meta 2, until February you can see the latest dates of sales and which images relate (sales disappeared in the new system). I wait for the new royalty statement of March 20 to see if there are these sales, then I'll be very careful to look for the sold images, and if by chance I find a sale published on the internet with a reference to istock / getty, which did not give me my royalties, I am ready to start a class action.
Let us remember that, if this were so, the Getty is making money on our sales without giving us what is due!
This is called fraud.

Some people could get their DM2 stats up till Tuesday, but Franky was told to disable it from fetching new sales stats, and a message to that effect went into DM2 yesterday. At the same time, they disabled the old stats chart, which had been working until yesterday morning.*
It certainly looks like they're hiding something. How could these apps be pulling inaccurate credit sales.
Malice ... total incompetence ... how is it divided up?

*Update: it's working again, that might have been a blip my end, or a temporary blip at their end.
