Heee, just a sunday fun one....you know you are addicted to Microstock, when:

a) You hate weekends and annoy your partner all sunday long by complaining about low sales while he/she is in relaxing and party mood.

b) The main subject to discuss with your therapist is the constantly rising weekly volume of new images on Shutterstock

c) You think about getting married to Scott Braut/Karen Sachs to increase your chances to get a offset account.

d) You make an appointment with your ophthalmologist because you think you have spotted some chromatic aberration on your left eye.

e) You start measuring supermarket prices in subscription downloads.

f) Your childhood memories suddenly contain unacceptable JPG artifacts.

g) ....

 ;D ;D

When you wait until there are no birds visible in the sky -in case the reviewer mistakes them for sensor spots ::)

I find that I have to consciously tell myself to "Stop and smell the roses",  instead of "Stop and smell the money".

When you see a great piece of artwork and think, "wow, that's beautiful! But it'll never sell on microstock."

When you justify that new hat/scarf/pair of shoes etc. with how many photo's you can get out of it and how it will easily pay for itself...in a couple of years!

You use a sick day from your day job so you can stay home and shoot stock..

You plan the tailgate menu based on how it will photograph.

You have a Christmas tree in your basement year round for holiday backgrounds.

I wish I could become 'addicted' to microstock. I'd be making much more money. My problem is 'motivation' rather than addiction.

When someone shows you their best ever snaps and you find yourself saying: None of these are sharp. Also your white balance is light years off and everybody is leaning to the left. That sky is blown to f**k and the bits that aren't are full of dust spots. In fact, these are perfect for print on demand sites.

Used to do this when there were lots of B's. BDEs, BWEs, BMEs. Been a while since there was a good reason for me to fanatically check stats.
