Title: Your earnings top and flop sites?
Post by: saschadueser on August 05, 2015, 05:29
The poll here is a average from all together - i know that this is there.

i really want to hear from individually by each which agency is your top and which is your flop.
i see it often enough how somebody got more sales in 123rf as in istock - just as an example.
(because here the average is mostly istock is definitely higher)

for me its :
shutterstock : 20%
istock : 60%
dreamstime : 3%
fotolia : 5%
123rf : 10%
deposit : 2%

all information around this.

Newbie in stock and only just started uploading to some of the others that I did not list to include them.

No. 1 Istock  8 times the sales of others.
No 2: Bigstock
No 3 Shutterstock

Biggest flop for me: Dreamstime -- 0%.

1. SS - Over 90%
2. 123 - 4%
3. FT - 3%

4. DT - 0%

DT has been a flop so far. Even my best images are not selling there despite placing high on the search results.

Their Featured Contributor today has sold a total of 2,192 with a portfolio of 2,145 in the 7 years he's been with DT. That's less than 1 sale a day. Maybe I should just forget DT and focus on the other agencies.

Whilst it might be one sale a day he won't have had that many images from day one - in fact for all we know he might have put 90% on in the last month! Just saying maybe its not as bad as it looks :o
