The real competition is net profit and not total d/l's, in that case I wouln't be suprised if Sean is higher up.

Yeah, some of the top hitters are not individual photographers but teams, with all the ensuing expense and time-consuming paperwork that involves.
Sean is a Lone Wolf; so, I believe, is Lise.

interesting to know, now I have to ask the question clearly and specificly
  • in terms of revenue, Yuri is No.1, don't know who's next.
  • in terms of profit, Lise is No.1, Yuri will not even be considered No.2, correct?

What he said.
Plus, why do you "have" to ask?
I guess you 'can' be curious, but it's not compulsory.
In addition, there's at least one member who claims his model is 'maximum sales for minimum outlay', so it might be that someone who has fewer sales, but doesn't have studio, lighting, props, models etc., together with the need for insurances etc. might have more actual profit.
But then you have to take 'taxable expenses' into account. Someone with minimum expenses has to pay tax on all their earnings.
So you can't possibly get a simple answer.

Question would be....Who's the most creative of the top guns along with DL's?  Lise, hands down.

Sean wins for most pro active community contributor. If the exclusives could vote for "most trusted member" hed win that in his sleep. But then...he never sleeps...;-)

only if you are talking strictly at iStock.  Yuri makes plenty of money on all the other sites he/his team contribute to.

I'd guess #2 across the board is Andres Rodriguez.  Not sure where Lise fits because between exclusive and non is a tough comparison to make.

But I agree with the praise for Sean.  I've always liked the look of his work best.  And as a one-man show he's without peer.

Absolutely. Plus he's uniquely helpful and approachable too. Geniuses aren't supposed to be like that. Top man!

and when IS pulls some BS he tells it like it is, even on their forum.

Just curious about this, anyone know the answer?

Aside from all the new answers and waffling about #2 at what, here's the thread and the top ten names, which aren't shown.

Another answer, answering the question for one agency rather than the question that the OP asked (Not that I mind). I actually forgot about that thread, which is pretty bad considering it wasn't very long ago.

It is funny how we all know who number one is, but none of us are certain of who the second most successful microstocker is.

I would say MonkeyBusiness is extremely high up.. perhaps #2 in gross profits.  Net is a total different story and much harder to 'guess'
