Title: $1000 clip sale on motion elements.
Post by: thirdbornentertainment on January 30, 2017, 01:40
Put two clips (hyperlapse) on there and priced them at 1000 kinda as a joke and two months later sold one. Looks like it's time to upload everything!

you think im kidding huh? screen cap incoming, but i did notice that december sales report said "reversed" which makes no sense cuz i already cashed out. Is this a joke or something? Far as Im concerned if they paid me I'll never return the money. Waiting to hear back.

They probably reversed it because they found it for $49 on videoblocks
You might want to rethink some of your hyper-lapses and maybe sell them more as RM instead as RF?

Nice clip BTW

Thanks! Was my 3rd ever hyperlapse back in 2014. Found a great line to work with for that building.

It's weird, but does these mean I'll be paying this off every time i make a sale on Motion Elements? I got paid and cashed out, if they think they will be able to take money from me I'll happily close the account and remove all the footage. I'm not too familiar with RM, is that something you would do exclusive?

Congrats on your sale. If the sale was reversed then your balance should now be - $499.50 and you'll need on of those sales again to get back to 0.

Looks like I'm done with them. What kind of agency pays you out and then returns a clip. Do they really expect I will upload anymore with them? That's some shady sh*t right there.

Almost all of them.

Adobe is really good here, had a return but I could keep the money. In fact, I hadn't even requested payout yet.

Congrats on that "sale!" Similar happened to me on Pond5, raised a price of a clip to $1500 months back and totally forgot about it (was supposed to be temporary) and low and behold it sold in December. That was a nice surprise.

If you are selling the same clip for a fraction of the price on other sites, that's a risk you take.  Lots of sites give customers refunds and take the money back from us.  It hurts but that's business.  If you leave the site, they will probably try and get their money back.
