Title: About Nimia. Is there anyone to use this agency ?
Post by: StefanKutsarov on October 03, 2017, 14:29
Hello.
A few months ago I registered and uploaded about 20 clips in Nimia. After trying to tag a video, it seemed very complicated for me, and I almost gave up to use this agency. Now they send me a lot of emails with information about how cool in Nimia.
Today I was able to present one clip, but it took me a looong time. I still think that approval is complicated for me in this agency. They require information such as: Date of recording, time of day, color temperature, focus ... etc. If you don't fill all  - don't approve. :(
I would be grateful to hear your opinion and experience with Nimia. Thanks in advance.

I gave up with Nimia.

Never had a sale. Plus, you are only allowed a few clips and then you have to pay them for additional storage  :(

I love the features at Nimia!  Sales are very low though.  I can create sets to embed to different pages on my website which allow people to buy footage directly from my site.  That's pretty cool.  I'm also able to download my own files back incase of a hard drive crash.  That's a free backup system.  They even have ways to do direct sales, which I haven't tried yet, but seems cool.  But yes, with all the work to get videos uploaded and such low sales, You really gotta love those features to make it worth your while.  They just need to get more sales!

For me, only one feature is important: The ability to generate sales. If a site has that feature, I'll happily spend 10 minutes tagging each clip. If it doesn't have that feature, I'll happily forget the site exists.

You are absolutely right. But because the site looks nice, I wonder if anyone has any sales with Nimia? I hope for more opinions. Maybe there is someone of you who made sales? I would like to know does it makes sense to waste time uploading videos there.

Longwinded tagging process and no sales. I stopped uploading there last year.

In addition at some point they followed IS and made 4K clips the same price as HD.

400+ videos that sell on the other sites. Not on Nimia :) Don't waste your time. Some people consider Nimia as a free video backup storage (you have something about 25GB of disk space, content published on the marketplace doesn't count). I don't think this is a good idea since this is not payed Amazon cloud or so, the stock site with poor sales will go bankrupt some day. Maybe on a short notice :)

In my parents language Nimia actually means "don't have". That is if you change the "I" to e, remove the other "I" and then you have Nema as in don't have.  :P

If you put the a after N, add an o after that and remove the first i, you get Naomi. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! Something's up here.
