I'm doing about 20% better this year overall as I keep adding new clips.

For me it's the same. This month is pretty bad, but on average I'm doing around 20% than 2015.

I guess $1500 (I don't have that yet) a month is success for Russia and fail for the US :)

Not at all- probably 50% of the folks (worldwide) make less than $1,500 a month. You're doing good- just keep going. Next goal will be $2,000 a month...

Doing awful and uploading many new (image) files. I opted out of the EL licensing on SS when they announced the "exciting news" but compared to last June it does not make up the difference. People are just downloading less subs for me.

For this to be meaningful at all, you'd have to divide the newbies from the veterans. My guess is that close to 100% of newbies (in microstock less than 3 years) are doing better than a year ago. Especially since many of these folks will have increased their ports by 50 to 100% in the past year. The vast majority of people at this longer than 3 years are probably making less. Not to sound like a broken record, but it's called THE WALL... the point at which your rate of growth is far outpaced by the exploding collections of the big micros. I'm working my rear end off to increase my port by about 20% this year, but SS is going to go up by 50%? 100%? The wall crushes us all.

Meaningless numbers unless you also include customer base.

I think you'll hit the WALL if you keep uploading similar clips and not improving quality at the same time. You got to keep competing and keep expanding into wider range of subjects to shoot.

I think it's not a wall at all. It's a fence around our comfort zone.

As I began last year with a turnover per month of 23 € and now having approximately 244 € per month I can just say that I have a performance of 1000% this year :D

No i do not think so. My target for this year is 3000 to 4000 euros and who knows wgat will be next year? I started just with Fotolia, then added Shutterstock and actually the great run has been started at iStock, where I made 100 usd just within last month with just 337 images there. I really look forward to whatever may come.

You sell photos or video clips at iStock? Video price at iStock is ridiculously low and insulting!!

Your not making money? Really? I took a look at your facebook link, your photos are so beautiful!!! They totally look like they would sell a ton. So then my next guess would be that they look so beautiful because you spent so much time editing them, and perhaps that is what you mean by losing money?

Wasn't it you that started this topic wanting to know how people are doing this year over last? Then two people post different results than you and you follow with snotty sarcastic response.
Don't ask if you can't handle hearing honest answers that don't match your own.
Or at least put in a more accurate title, like MICROSTOCK IS THE GREATEST THING EVER AND EARNINGS WILL NEVER GO DOWN!!!!

Your not making money? Really? I took a look at your facebook link, your photos are so beautiful!!! They totally look like they would sell a ton. So then my next guess would be that they look so beautiful because you spent so much time editing them, and perhaps that is what you mean by losing money?

This is a video board, but your photos are great technically and artistically. I can't believe you are making less every year as you add more photos with your quality, but if you are really not making more money as you add contents, you may need to do more research and expand category/variety of your contents. I just can't believe you actually are making less every year as you add contents.
