I sold one once, only one i have, on Adobe.

Dont think there is reason to make multi sequence and upload those files separately:
  • Waste of time
  • Buyer gets more, for the same money, if he buys the sequence

Most of agencies don't accept sequence...plus you lose money giving 3/4 footages at single price...

In this post: https://www.shutterstock.com/blog/submitting-footage-to-shutterstock

Shutterstock says:

DO NOT submit montages of quick, live action clips cut togethercuts of 3-seconds or less.

Which seems to imply that some forms of montage clips might be acceptable.

At some point I thought I read in their submission guidelines that each clip could only contain one shot, but I just looked again and can't find that language anywhere.

So I guess if you do submit two clips in one you are just halving the price of your portfolio and undercutting the market.

I think it just means they want longer individual clips, rather than people making longer clips just be editing a bunch of ones together. Unless it's a really unique clip, or there's a very specific reason something is so short... I don't see much point in creating anything under 10 seconds. I remember the first time I uploaded two clips edited together in one sequence at VideoHive and it was rejected... saying I should split them into two clips and upload separately or together as a pack... so I haven't done that since. The rules may very well be different elsewhere though.

Maybe it's worth a quick test. Just upload a few?
