Is Fujifilm X-E4 240fps 1080p usable for stock footage?
I cannot rent here and I don't know anyone who uses it.
I know there are some videos on Youtube, but Youtube codec always ruins video quality.

I'm no expert, and I;ve never used Fuji, but it looks perfectly respectable and no reason it wouldn't be suitable for stock... I mean APS-C, Full 4K recording, 200Mbps, 240fps option... will do the job and it's a pretty decent price. I'd prefer 10-bit 4:2:2 output and F-Log, but you're unlikely to get that for less than $1000.

I can have it for 850EUR in my country and since I mostly use vintage manual lenses, I'd only need an adaptor (EF-X).
But...
I've just downloaded out of camera 240 fps sample and I'm very disappointed.
There's a MONSTER moir on everything. It's unusable for stock, as I see it. Actually, I'm not sure if this is moir or 720p (or even lower resolution) scaled up to 1080p. Maybe it's 720p with moir. Maybe if I do some heavy processing, maybe then it woud be useful for stock.
Anyways, it looks just like 1080p 240fps on my phone.
Again, if someone has one, please tell me your impressions.

I guess 240fps in X-E series must be a gimmick. Looks upscaled to me. For a price and for what it is I would be happy if it had even 60fps at proper quality.

On this page there is a YouTube video that actually displays that that the camera delivers a pretty bad result at 240 fps.

Lower bitrate and lower detail is the cause.

SloMo is always interesting but still too expensive for me. Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX10 IV $1600 does 7 seconds of 240fps, better quality. I don't see how I could justify that expense for Microstock? Is there enough of a demand for Slow Motion video? Could someone make back the investment and earn some income?

Sure would be fun though!

I guess there is, since most of lifestyle shots are slowmotion, but mostly just half the speed, 240fps is 8X slower, a bit overkill imho. Also if you can do 60fps or 120fps, Twixtor can deliver further nice results, even for just 30fps, not in all cases thou.

Interesting and good to know.

The problem with the X-E4 is what you can expect when marketing people, want to attract buyers and skim over the technical details, like actual final image quality. Yeah, it's full HD, but not with useful quality. Here's a review that's a view of that.

http://www.hispeedcams.com/fujifilm-x-e4-slow-motion-240fps-disappoints/

"While the final quality is passable for your Youtube Vlog, it will not be ready for more professional uses, the pixelation and stair-stepping looks like badly captured 720p video in a 1080p wrapper."

One of my dash cams claims HD images, but when I looked, they were nothing but poorly interpolated VGA, made larger. So I figured, why make a bigger bad image, when I already have a smaller bad image? They don't use as much space on the card either.

What I'm getting at is this, I don't think any of us should expect some magic camera that defies the abilities of the current level of technology. If Fuji could make a camera that was so advanced and at such a low price, there's a good likelihood that Sony or someone else would also have one.

High speed and slow motion cameras cost more, because of the advanced data handling and computers that make them work. There's not going to be an inexpensive, magic camera, that does as good of a quality imaging, as what the expensive versions do.
