Title: General advice needed on video clips
Post by: Freezingpictures on December 31, 2007, 06:22
Hi, I need some advice for viedo clips. Someone I know of has plenty of video clips and wants to know where to sell them. Personaly I know of shutterstock, istockphoto and now stockxpert. Are there other places, where you can sell them?

He has them in a really high resolution. Like one clip would be hundreds of MBytes. Is there another solution to uploading like can you send them DVDs instead?

Thanks!!

Take a look at Pond5.
Here's my ref. link:
https://www.pond5.com/index.php?referrer=nickp37 (https://www.pond5.com/index.php?referrer=nickp37)

They offer 50% comission and they let you set your own price.

Right now, I believe SS, IS, P5, and StockXpert will accept footage on (data) DVD. SS keep saying this is only temporary, IS require you to upload a proxy (.mp4) file for review first, and StockXpert is not yet live (email [email protected] for details). I belive P5 plans to continue to accept DVD's for the time being.

I still upload via FTP, and it does take hours for HD clips.

Hope this helps.
