This question is for video but I guess it could apply to photos as well.

I am considering going exclusive, how long should you wait in order to make content exclusive after deleting the same content on another agency. Should I contact each agency for clarification or is there a general waiting period in order for the content to be removed from each site and their servers?

varies by site - some agencies hold your content hostage for years

after all are removed, no reason to wait to go exclusive
