I am at the begin of my video microstock experience. I need hints on workflow for Managing Uploading and Keywording multi-agencies.

What I do now.

Let me say I have 5 video files (.mov) to be uploaded on 3 different agencies.

I open ftp with first agency.....send files.
I open ftp with second agency.....send files.
I open ftp with third agency.....send files.

I go to the website of first agency....keyword and submit each video
I go to the website of second agency ....copy and paste keywords from the first agency and submit
I go to the website of third agency ....copy and paste keywords from the first agency and submit

Is there a way to make my workflow better?  :(

P.S. Agencies: SS, P5, VB, FO, DT

Start saving your metadata in an Excel sheet, so you can export CSVs to those sites that support it. Saves a lot of time.

I just recently started with video and have uploaded to SS, FT, Pond5 and Videoblocks.
Out of those four only FT does not support metadata upload via CSV (at least I haven't found it yet).
For the other three it works fine, on SS and Pond5 you can download sample CSV files so see how exactly they have to be formatted. Videoblocks accepts either SS or Pond5 format.

Hi dirkr, thank you.

What is your procedure? Is this the following one?

1) one video file is ready to be uploaded
2) open csv in your computer and edit it adding information relative to that video.
3) upload video via ftp (SS) and ftp or web (VB and P5)
4) go to each website and apply CSV file

Do you have a CSV file for each video...or ONLY ONE CSV file for all the videos?

Never tried that for video, how does it work? Is there an IPTC standard for video files? Which programs can write them? Do they agencies read them?

No, you have one line in the excel sheet per video (so one line in the CSV per video file).
That makes it very easy to copy information from one file to another and maintain a complete inventory of your video metadata in one file.
Look at the example file from Shutterstock, that helps understand it.

Ok so you have ONE FILE CVS where Each row is relate to one video. In a only one cvs file there is all your inventory.

You upload a video file...togheter with the CSV file (the only one containing all the database)......the agency is smart to find information relative to the uploaded video in the cvs file.

Is it so?

I don't know if that would work.
I just copy the lines for the videos I upload into a new file, save that as CSV and upload it (and keep the original file with all info unchanged).
As I said, I'm new to video. Maybe there is a more efficient way to do this.

Thanks, didn't know that. Maybe I'll give it a try... (but then still SS and Videoblocks need the information via CSV, so I'll keep that updated too).

One of our users recently started a YouTube channel with tutorials for the program: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChjHZDylOyp536Bk3UFhSFQ
We have also written several blog posts about it:
http://stocksubmitter.blogspot.bg/2013/09/program-interface-full-description.html
http://microstocksubmit.blogspot.com/

The program has a fully translated english version as well as translations to other languages. OS language will be used to select default translation; you can choose a translation manually in settings.

The program helps with the whole workflow (keywording, uploading, submitting).
It's completely free. However, there is a 33 submissions/agency/month limit (submission is a process of automatic filling categories, releases etc. on the agency website and submitting an image for approval, uploads are NOT limited).
If you're a professional contributor and need more submissions, you can purchase one of the subscription plans.

If you have any questions about using the program feel free to contact me:
