completed around six months in stock and still here with random to not at all sales. Well, that's a start and a personal victory not to quit.
Due to gear failure I have actually stopped uploading except some older clips found here and there in HDDs and some tests with gopro.
So I had to do something else except flooding MSG forum with offotopic or (what I believe as humorous) comments :P
I had a clip that I thought unique. An orange Japanese fish.
Titled "orange fish static shot handheld"
duh. among some hundrends of similar and better clips.
Going back and retitling, redescribing and repricing all clips one at the time,
found out that actually there were two orange Koi fish swim crossing each other in a water garden in a specific location.
What is the point of this post?
To point to that it is not resolution or subject itself but also title, description and keywords.
Nothing new or innovative on the phrase above. But (perhaps) a common mistake for starters.
Will my clip sell now? Not really, it is shot over water handheld, but now
I can rest that I did the best I could to submit it.

I play that game from time to time as well. Some of my cityscape timelapses I'll title as "timelapse of skyscrapers in modern city" instead of including the name of the city or building name. My hope is that they will reach a broader audience but I don't know whether it works.

Still having 42 x 10 item pages to review, item by item, realize that I find my self not discouraged but opposite, gaining courage, ideas, googling words and top of all tempted to add some fantasy or alternative meaning whenever applicable, even in editorial ones. Same I do not know if this works, rather, more afraid not to abuse any P5 rule on giving misleading information.
but it is hard to set a limit between how to keep it within "logical" and not end up being reported by a customer with no humor or different perspective than mine...
For sure and confirmed after asking, it is allowed to add another (own of course) item# of an exact same framed subject (a cut tree in my case) at a totally differrent season shot clip, in description. As long as it is totally different picture. Although I tend to email and ask them for approval on anyhting I feel uncomfortable.

Do you sell stock or creating an art house movie exhibition? :)
Customers don't remember usernames, nor have time to read your descriptions, not saying about policing them with reports. If it doesn't come up on search nobody notice.
On the one side it's good that there are people who waste time on such stuff - means less competition. On the other side, I feel very sorry for your expectations and return on those actions and all those self-doubting reflections.
You could create 1000 new clips instead and get 1000 more chances to earn money, but you keep doing what you're doing ???

but, no, not a waste of time, I now know many more English words, although I never use them or cannot put them correct in a sentence! hahaha!

interesting post. Especially for me as another newbie and as far as I understood, this is who you meant to adress ;)
How is it going for you now? It's been almost 2 month that you posted this and I wonder, if you are actually selling more now.
Customers don't remember usernames, nor have time to read your descriptions.
Actually too bad, no? Could be nice to have "returning customers" who like your style or way of producing footage.

No difference, but by default my "red fish" was doomed, low quality and value clip :) 2 months later i just discard more clips when i download then from the camera :) :D
