Hi I sell some video on shutterstock not too much. Do you think I should send my video on istock ? my true question is How to send video to istock, I use quicktime .mov proRes 422HQ and when i try to upload they say this is invalid format. Thank you I use Davinci Resolve

No

I suggest you not to upload videos to iStock.
Personally I stopped 3-4 years ago. Why:
- They pay much less than others. Sometimes you get cents, yes literally cents!
- Uploading to them is complicated. Special resolution, specials codecs, fps.
- Disambiguating nonsense
Not worth at all.
-
just don't ;)
-
ok thank you
-
Not! Since they payed 2 or 3 cents per download, i don't uploading new work to them
Everyone should do that!

Agree.
-
Because of tiny return per download numbers... I removed my clips from istock.

It 's been 3 months since I started uploading to istock. Now I've just uploaded 90 special signature videos . On average for three months, I earned $ 150-250 a month.
All my videos in motion graphic style. So all computer graphics.
Will I earn more if I upload to another stock video site?
which site do you recommend for motion graphic videos ?

What do you mean by "special signature videos"?

Collections and cost
Every file on iStock falls into one of two collections. Our Essentials collection gives you the everyday content you need (view sample Essentials images), while the Signature collection features millions of premium handpicked stock files that you can only get from us (view sample Signature images). The credit cost of our files is:
Essentials photo, vector or illustration – 1 credit
Signature photo, vector or illustration – 3 credits
Essentials video clip – 6 credits
Signature video clip – 18 credits
Check out our credit pack pricing to see how much you'll pay per image. View credit packs.
You can get our lowest prices on photo, vector and illustration downloads from both collections with a premium Signature subscription. If you only need Essentials images, pay even less with an Essentials subscription. View subscriptions.

Isn‘t the signature collection only for exclusive artists?
If you signed the exclusive contract for video you cannot upload video anywhere else. Not even different clips.
They have artist exclusive contracts, not file exclusivity.

Yes, definitely. they give me more royalty rates because just it's in istock

Then you made your choice and cannot upload elsewhere.

yes I can't upload those videos to different stock sites. But my friend produces similar contents. He is uploading to every stock site. So he is non-exclusive on istock.
His total earnings on all sites, less than me.
But I'm new in this stock videos business. So I'm looking for the best sales stock sites for me.

I think $150-250 a month for 90 videos is pretty good.

There are many well known producers that were video exclusive for years, then gave it up.
How many went back? Never seen anyone.
If it works for him, have fun, but the video people are well networked and istock exclusivity is not a trend.
If they offered file/series exclusivity like on getty...maybe...
Otherwise the videos that I have online that are not exclusive are being sold for 60 cents...I really don't think they have buyers who can pay higher prices like elsewhere.
They also have a much smaller library.

I agree. They were my first agency 8 years ago, and i was happy back then. Gone down the tubes since then, leading the charge towards free.
I have not made the effort to delete my old stuff, but they have gotten nothing new from me since 2017.
