His clips are very good.  Pricing them at $39 on Pond5 isn't a wise move for himself in my opinion.  His clips will sell at $60 and he'll make more money than pricing them at $39.

Maybe he's worried about losing sales, but actually he's losing potential income in my opinion.

How do you guys think?

Probably wants to compete with VB.

I think it's more likely to be an agency. Anyone with 50,000+ quality clips of their own would be making a very nice living indeed. I agree the pricing is way too low. I bumped my minimum prices up to $59 and if anything sales have increased.

LOL!  He may be selling at VB as well, but for $10 more and $30 more commission per clip.

I raised my price over the years, but didn't affect total revenue per clip.  My clips are between $60-70 now on Pond5.

I set my prices to $59.80 at P5 for now and views are way up and sales climbing, VB is on fire right now and they lock me in at $49 and SS ar $79,  Not sure if is it all related to price though, I did two price experiments earlier this year, lowered all prices to $41 and sales went up for one day and then settled back down, raised all prices to $400 to reflect the true cost of the making the product and sales went to zero but then one sale did come through.

We don't know his sales numbers, maybe he is making a killing on volume, some good marketing too!, there are quite a few "ladies" advertising stock footages and beautiful stock footages on YT and wen you drill down to actually buy a clip it takes you back to the motion poland page on P5.  Good marketing.   That's what I need to do once I finally have all 50,000 up on all three sites but even that is a challenge, getting more tired each day sitting at the computer 18 hours a day tagging these thing as they upload.

Marketing is everything, no point having a fully stocked store if no one knows about it.

Would love to do another test, drop prices to $20 and see if massive volume sales ensue but I don't have a week to gamble on, if sales stay same then I lose a lot.

I see the most big sellers on P5 price their videos between $60-80 range.  I think he'll make more money raising $10 or $20.  I think it's his fear that prevents him from raising price.  When I raised my price from $50 to $60, I was scared to.  Now I set my clips to mostly $70.

Are you setting the "HD" clips to between $60-80? Or is that the 4K version?

Just sold a simple HD clip with no models, movement, or hard to get location for $150.  I guess that's better than 60,000 clips for the same price?  My HD is priced at 79-150.
