Title: If you upload to Artgrid or Storyblocks, you may find your clips on this account

If you upload to Artgrid, you may find your clips on this account.

MediaFuzeBox brought this to our attention on another thread on this forum.

It's all nonsense, it doesn't matter. If you sell on Artgrid and Storyblocks your income is much higher than your income on Pond5 and other stocks too. And even if someone steals your video and tries to sell it on Pond5, this is nonsense. Moreover, the thief will still be banned for pond5.
The only problem is that it is almost impossible to get on Artgrid or Storyblocks, these stock agencies are very demanding on content.
If any of the authors are selling their video on Artgrid and Storyblocks, I take my hat off. This is an indicator of the high level of the author.

But the thief sold 76 times on Pond5 Exclusive since 2022.  Price of the clips were $25/HD and $50/4k.  So, I think the average revenue per clip was about $20.  Total revenue of about $1,500 of 7,445 clips he downloaded, uploaded and tagged.  Was it worth the hours the thief put in?  Maybe not.  But if the thief lives in developing country with low cost of living, it's not bad maybe.

Preparing and uploading so many clips is a lot of work. The thief could have easily used that time to create original content. Even with just a small camera or mobile phone.

The quality would not have been the same, but the content would have been his and his account could have stayed open forever and could even be passed down to children.

In some ways it is sad all around, even for the stupid thief.

Perhaps the agencies should once team up for a large blog post about content theft and publish it at the same time.

Pointing out that accounts with stolen content are banned forever.

Also they should absolutely use ai and automatically scan all newbie accounts. Maybe when they reach 100 files?

Or just scan all uploads automatically.

The sooner these ports get closed down, the faster they learn.

If you sell on Artgrid and Storyblocks your income is much higher than your income on Pond5 and other stocks too.

I would like to know what you are relying on to guarantee what you say. Just your portfolio? If it's just that, it's not enough.

Let's be modest, shall we? maybe it works for you, not for me.

The only problem is that it is almost impossible to get on Artgrid or Storyblocks,

Good thing they don't let practically anyone in.  :)

Do you sell videos on Artgrid and Storyblocks?
I'm based on the information I've been told by people who sell videos there.

Of course, it's good that the authors are not allowed, especially when you are already there, this is logical.

Yes, of course.  But that's what criminals always do.  That's how criminal mind works.  They think they are smart and it's easy way out, but often end up paying price for their criminality and stupidity.

Fortunately I don't sell on Artgrid. But i am aware of how it works well to a Small Producer Company with less than 30 employees where i work as a freelancer. They download daily roughly 100 clips and pay 50$/month for it.

I had a Videoblocks client account turned into Storyblocks account. Once I did upload 800 clips i did not sent to curators when i found out it was unlimited downloads. I ended up deleting all the clips and closing the account. It is not profitable to me.

But let's do the math.
In theory 600$ cost for 36400 videos/ year on Artgrid. Profit is huge for them is it not? The only thing that companies complain is lack of diversity so they usually go spend in others microstock sites after a while because they cannot present same videos to the clients each month. How many downloads do you think a contributor needs to do on Artgrid to make 6 digits?

Now let's do the math with the other side of the coin.
I can tell you that you can make nearly 6 digits with less than 2000 downloads in limited download sites.

The rule of a big/medium/small company to make profit is how to save money. So first they drain all they can from these sites. Afterwards they will go to others sites to find the diversity they need in the videos. Once i got to know how these clients think i immediately understood i could get a better return for a clip in other sites. Occasionally i even sell them directly instead using my microstock account which is even more profitable to me.
This is how they work: cycle of 3/4 years. They combine an unlimited download site with single sales from other sites. First they had Artgrid, then videoblocks, then Storyblocks and now Artgrid (again) combining it with SS, P5 and Adobe.

You missed my point of "Good thing they don't let practically anyone in"...
Less people there, less clips there, less thieves and more fast companies will move on to other sites once "the unlimited" pond runs dry. ;D

3 identical clips found on Adobe Stock.

This one probably is the original based on the oldest clip ID #.
https://stock.adobe.com/video/Budget-business-chart%2C-investment%2C-statistics-and-report.-4K-animation-seaml/136586327

Identical clips.

https://stock.adobe.com/video/Decimal-numbers-counting-over-shining-gold-coins-placed-on-a-grid-graphs-with-co/320389785

The latter 2 accounts are uploading service account.  They can't/don't vet and detect thieves uploading stolen clips to them.

This is all theory and has nothing to do with practice. Your opinion is not interesting because you have never sold your video on Artgrid or Storyblocks.
There is such a Netflix service, the subscription costs little money, but Netflix earns a lot of money in the end. The same goes for Artgrid or Storyblocks.
Yes, there are buyers who pay a lot of money and buy videos on Pond5 or shutterstock, and there are still a lot of people (millions) who buy a subscription to Artgrid or Storyblocks.
In general, I know video sellers on Artgrid or Storyblocks and I know what to write about here, but you don’t know sellers on Artgrid or Storyblocks.
Goodbye.

I sell on other subscription stocks like Envato Elements and more. And I know how much money I get from Envato.
Your firm is not the only subscriber to artgrid. There are many subscribers and everyone pays for a subscription.
Also, your example is off topic at all. If I've talked to those who sell their videos on Artgrid or Storyblocks, then you haven't even done that.

Don't get me wrong but just saying that "people make more money in Artgrid and storyblocks" than other sites is not enough. It's just your opinion and not a fact. And when i ask for facts or anything substantial that outlines your affirmation you come up with "i know people" and "i sell on envato elements". Well.... I've been on Envato via videohive for 12 years but please enlighten us:

Do you make 6 digits with less of 2000 downloads on envato elements? yes or no?
Does any of the people you know on artgrid makes 6 digits with less of 2000 downloads? yes or no?

Otherwise i feel that you are just here for joking/trolling with us. Are you? ::)

What is 6 digits? Is it 100,000 dollars?
I don't count the number of downloads, I only count the dollars Envato pays me. And Envato pays me a lot more than Pond5. I also have a lot less videos on Envato than on Pond5.

Thanks for your response. It was very enlightening for the differences of opinion we were having. Btw you can find how many sales you made on earnings/item_sales page. On Artgrid they don't tell you how much downloads/sales you make. They only give you one payment at the end of the year.

I am happy Envato works better for you. For my portfolio it's exactly the opposite.
Wish all the best for your sales!

This guy has only about 200 clips on Artgrid, but made $4,000 in 2021 he says.  That's actually very high revenue per clip.  But also he says revenue per download is only about $0.50.  So, I think it all comes down to whatever you are comfortable with.  Those who are selling on Artgrid tend not to be traditional stock video creators.  They are filmmakers who put their footages on Artgrid.

Yes, Artgrid has very specific content in my opinion. But here on Storyblocks the content is the most common, as well as on other stocks.

Do you make 6 digits with less of 2000 downloads on envato elements? yes or no?
Does any of the people you know on artgrid makes 6 digits with less of 2000 downloads? yes or no?
What is 6 digits? Is it 100,000 dollars?
I don't count the number of downloads, I only count the dollars Envato pays me. And Envato pays me a lot more than Pond5. I also have a lot less videos on Envato than on Pond5.
What are we to talk about? You do not sell videos on Envato.

I'm not interested in the number of sales or downloads and efficiency, I'm not a statistician. I'm only interested in money. And if my videos are downloaded on envato elements even 1 million times in one day, I don’t care. I only look at the total amount of money envato and other similar stocks are paying me.
You link to your portfolio all the time. But as I understand it, you have never sold your videos on subscription stocks, but nevertheless you claim that subscription stocks are nonsense. Are you making $100,000?

Subscription stocks and standard stocks are completely different markets, and buyers are also basically different everywhere. Keeping a count of the number of downloaded videos and calculating the efficiency for comparison is not the right approach. You only need to compare the total amount of money that stocks pay at the end of the month.
