Title: Looking for new agencies
Post by: Stephan on January 04, 2014, 07:11
Is there any reliable Poll about selling just stock video?

I have about 2000 clips on SS, IS and P5. All the agencies are performing well.

But now I would like to upload on some new ones.

Which ones can you suggest that bring earnings?

They must support automatic batch upload via metadata spreadsheet.

Does somebody have experience with Motion Elements agency?

Dreamstime is now accepting video although I don't think their royalities are up to snuff.  I'd hate to see the video commissions go down the drain like stock images.

I've just started video myself and had my first sale of $90 on Shutterstock. Very happy with that.  I won't be looking for other agencies if they pay peanuts.

Revostock is consistent. I sell about the same amount there as on iStock.
Motion Elements has been great to work with so far. Sales have been slow though, but really easy to upload.
Both have csv metadata import.

PM me if you want to be kind and use a referral link to sign up for either.

Motion Elements has been great to work with so far.

Motion Elements says:
The revenue (minus administrative fees, any chargebacks, refunds, discounts or other credits issued by ME) will be split at a percentage of 50% (artist) / 50% (ME).

"minus administrative fees, " means what??

and one of the most important things..
how is there cancelation process??
We do not upload to services where they take your files as hostages.
If you have to delete every f***** single item if you want to leave - like Dreamstime does- they are completly out of discussion.

Yep. I've started shooting video and will not contribute to DT. They don't pay well and do hold you hostage with our own images.

I tried uploading videos to DT to test the waters and they were considered "invalid" format.  These were the same ones that were accepted no problem by Pond5 and SS.  I don't think DT knows what its doing with video.  They said for years that there was no market for video and now they are trying to play catch up.

Oh. Dreamstime is one of the worst when it comes to business strategies :D

stay well clear of Fotolia for selling footage as it just drives the market down. I had about 50 clips and had 8 sales for an average of less than $3 a download. I deleted them all a few months ago and let them know their prices are a joke. My average footage net price on SS is around $18 and on P5 about $24 so I just stick to them and send a few to Istock.

I've not bothered with Dreamstime but have uploaded to FT. They have a harsh similars policy and generally sell little for less than most others. i.e. Forget about it.

Thanks for the shout out ruchos. We're glad to have you on board.

For those worried about sales, we are not promising you the world, but we are increasing efforts to sell video stock media (footage & animation) with a greater focus on the Asian markets. We are also increasing our push towards the western market and we've gotten amazing feedback from our customers there so far.

To contributors interested in selling to the Asian markets, MotionElements can be browsed in major Asian languages so your content is searchable when a query is made in japanese, chinese, or korean with support for other languages in the region to be added in due time.

If you need assistance or more information, drop me a PM and we'll be glad to help you out.
