Title: Motion Elements uploading problem
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on December 21, 2015, 23:12
I uploaded videos to ME over the weekend and the uploader took all 40 files and renamed them with the same name as the first file in the upload. This made applying my CSV file impossible. I deleted all the files and tried again in smaller sets a few times. Now, each time it only uploads half the files and still renames them with the name of the first file.

Has anybody else uploaded over the last week? Did you have any problems? Everything worked fine on my last upload about 2 weeks ago.

Yes, FTP stopped working for me a few months ago. Support asked me to switch to HTTP upload which was ok for me. Everything worked.

Since a couple days I cannot seem to upload anything anymore via HTTP either.

Writing them now.

FTP works again but you have to use their new brick ftp address. Just go to their instructions on dtp and get a new password but use the brick ftp host and not the other four. I just uploaded 50 or so videos that way and it worked fine. Had all kinds of problems with the old one. They replied to me suggesting I do that.

The http method sucks because it won't upload when my computer goes to sleep.

Thanks. everything seems sorted now.

I sent them a message yesterday lunch time and had a few e-mail exchanges to answer queries their engineers had and they had the problem fixed by 5 pm. Excellent contributor support.

The thread is already old, but the problem has now reappeared, at least for me.

Currently, my uploads are not processed, the files are in there, but no previews have been created for about 1 week and therefore the files cannot be submitted.
Is this the same for you?

And is there actually a support email for MotionElements?

Thank you

I could never get them to fix anything, so I closed my account. Sales were almost non-existent anyway. Wasn't worth the uploading then fighting with them to try to get the upload to work.

What e-mail did you use? I've tried sending e-mails to what I think is the support address, but never yet gotten a response... Thanks!
PPS - have you made any sales from them? I haven't yet - but I do sell higher priced clips. Wondering if I should try changing the price point. Thanks!
