Title: Preset phobia
Post by: dnavarrojr on August 09, 2008, 12:08
A number of sites have phobias about letting someone just use a preset with a plugin or video editor to generate CGI footage and then submitting it.

Honestly, it's just stupid.  If the quality of the video is there, they should just sell it and not give a hoot about how it got generated.  The top selling videos on most of the sites include several that were generated from presets on very expensive plugins.  And they SELL.  Not everyone can shell out $300 to $1000 for a plugin and those people are buying the preset stuff.

That said, I have learned that you can take a single screen shot with lots of complex settings and submit that for everything you do.  I'm not gonna bother with taking a screen shot of everything.
