What is difference between return in clips vs. return in images? Lets say 1000 images would give yearly 1000 $ so in footage how much similar quality footages could earn if amount of videos would be also 1000?

Do you mean $1,000 per month or per year?

Probably $1,000-2,000 per month but it's really pointless to guess since content is never the same...

Images sell more frequently but have a lower Return Per Download than footage.

I consider $10 per image per year a good average RPI (some images sell more often, some don't sell at all). Footage gives you a higher return per download, on average I'd say you're doing well if you make an average $25 per video per year. Maybe even more?

So $10k/10 = 1000 images
And $10k/25 = 400 videos

But it depends on the subject matter and the quality. Your mileage may vary.

I make an average of $94 per clip, per year, for my non-exclusive stuff. I've not included my exclusive stuff in that, as it contains After Effects projects and audio stuff, so would muddy the waters when it comes to the figures.

$10k/10 = 1000 images
$10k/25 = 400 videos

This was exactly the idea I was asking. Thank you.

10$ yearly on average for image is good RPI.

Videos instead would be good if they could earn 2.5 times more in this example 25$.

"I make an average of $94 per clip, per year"

Sure it is pointless to guess without proper reference.

What might some model released stock producers get on average per video (yearly or monthly) lets say Wavebreak Media seem to produce a lot of model released lifestyle footage. These type of producers have to invest money to models, locations etc. so there are plenty of cost and risks involved. This would help to estimate how much worth of investing some model released shoot is in stock footage.

It's impossible to guess... And it's also harder to start now than 5 years ago. If you had uploaded to Pond5 5 years ago you would rank higher in the search engine now (if you had sales), and thereby making a lot more with the same clips. It doesn't matter if someone uploads better quality stuff today if the customers just see the old clips with sales when they search. 6 million clips is more than enough for you to disappear unless you have something completely unique.

In the audio world, a portfolio with 60 tracks can get you $20,000 a month, or a portfolio with 300 tracks can get you $500 per month... It's really pointless to try to guess...
