Hi all.
How much time do you invest in picking and setting your video thumbnail?
Has anyone done some comparison on how does the quality and relevance of thumbnails impact sales of videos?
Shutterstock has the most annoying thumbnails system ever, with the post review thumbnail change.
Just wandering how important the thumbnails are at the end of the day...

I'd say Fotolia has, since they don't let you set the thumbnail (unless they do on the Adobe platform -- I've never tried that).
I haven't done any studies; I just set a thumbnail that I feel best represents the clip and leave it at that.

If I can set my thumbnails, I do. I think when a buyers is browsing a bunch of video thumbs if mine stands out it has a better chance. Sometimes the thumb does not represent the content.

I try to set custom thumbnails only when it's too crucial and only for some "expensive" clips of mine.
