Title: Videoblocks CSV
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on March 01, 2015, 01:13
On the submit contents page, Videoblocks claims:

"We accept Shutterstock and Pond5 CSVs! If you have either of these you can upload them unchanged."

I tried with both my SS and P5 CSV files and neither works. All the files stay in the unrecognized column. Is this just me or is anyone else having this problem?

I have a hard time trusting an agency that claims to return 100% of sales. Is any one getting money from these people?

I thought they weren't selling non-subscription videos until April. How did you get money from them?

imagesbykenny - I checked your account, and it looks like you got the CSV to work. If you ever run into trouble going forward, just shoot a note to our support team: contributor [at] videoblocks.com.

Zeus - Buyers are subscribers to our product, and since we're supported by our membership fees, we're able to pass on 100% of the commission. You can find out more details on our "official" thread: http://www.microstockgroup.com/videoblocks/videoblocks-footage-marketplace-keep-100-of-what-you-earn/ (http://www.microstockgroup.com/videoblocks/videoblocks-footage-marketplace-keep-100-of-what-you-earn/)

fritz - have we worked with you for our subscription library? If so, hi! I don't recognize your username.

Hi. No, it still doesn't work. I entered the metadata for all the files manually.

FWIW, the video popup on the content management page, which there is no way to close, is really annoying. There is no way to enter the data once the video pops up without refreshing the page.

Hey imagesbykenny - yeah, occasionally the preview player can get stuck open. If you hover back onto and then off of the thumbnail again, the player should close.

I'll PM you about the CSV and we'll get it sorted out.

I just started uploading to vb.  I am running into the same problem - unrecognized files.  How did you fix it? I already contact vb, but have not heard anything since.

The problem in my case was I was uploading another file type to the other agencies, so when I used the SS or P5 CSV file it wasn't linking the files due to the Filenames column having a different extension.

They are usually pretty quick to reply.
