Title: Vimeo has a royalty free license on all your videos
Post by: leaf on March 23, 2009, 03:11: Sean made an interesing blog post about an iStock contributer whose exclusive video application was rejected because they had one video on Vimeo. iStock said Vimeo has a royalty free license on all videos uploaded to their site. Sean Locke took a little dive into the terms of service and,.. quite right they were..

I am exclusive videographer in istock and i plan to make showreel and upload it to vimeo. So-if i upload any of my clips to vimeo, i am immediately violating my exclusivity contract with istock?
So if i want to expose my showreel where i should upload it without violating my exclusivity contract?
I guess i have to add BIG nasty watermark on the clip aswell.

Why don't you ask this on the istock forum? They are the only ones that can answer.
