Hey there,

we signed up with Stockeon last week, a pretty new (just three weeks) agency selling stock footage and templates.
http://www.stockeon.com/ [nofollow]
Our first impression was pretty awesome...55% royalty rate and you can set your own price...fast review times...definately worth checking out. It's still pretty small so I can only encourage everybody to make this thing big to attract more customers :D

Anybody of you out there got any experience with this agency

I like the look of the site and it feels easy for buyers to use. Thanks for the link!

I'm not interested in new sites unless they have something very different to offer or pay me to upload.  Unfortunately all the new sites in recent years that have just copied the style of the others have made me almost no money and many of them are no longer in business.  They are a complete waste of time for contributors and anyone starting a new sites that doesn't have something very different to offer must be crazy.

Same here. The last new site "same ol" was SF and they have proven to consume my time but not generate any sales.  No more. I did upload to GL and P5 because I can set my own pricing.  I get occasional sales but nothing to write home about.  But they range from $1.50 for web to $10 my share.

Hopefully the landscape is a bit different for video, much like photos were 6 or 7 years ago...

I think its worse for video sites.  Buyers seem happy with Pond5 and Shutterstock.  ClipCanvas is a good site for video but they've said they're finding things tough.  I get very few sales from Revostock.  Sites that were late starters don't seem to sell much.  It takes a lot of time to upload video clips, compared to stills.  I think that there's already more than enough sites with almost identical content.  The chances on a new one making it must be very small now.

I think it's pretty amazing how much Shutterstock and Pond5 seem to dominate the stock video realm. Probably around 80-90% of my sales are from those two. Revostock and iStock both seem to do worse for me each month while SS and P5 do better. I've posted some to Clipcanvas but haven't had a sale, not sure if it's worth the effort putting everything else up.

Anyone else post to any agencies that do well other than Shutterstock and Pond5?

The upload process was pretty fast...my portfolio was up and running in two days...and in the past 3 weeks it is up know sales are better than 123rf (video)

I would have said the same a month ago, but suddenly I have sold 3 clips between May and June, for a total of 46,69 dollars... Finger crossed and let's hope it continues...  :o

Just to make sure i'm following - is this $46 on 123RF for video? Not this new site that only the OP seems to have had success with?

Yes... 46$ on 123RF for video.
I had sold just one video one year ago (for 5$!) and then nothing nothing nothing...
Mid-may, all of a sudden I have sold two videos on the same day, and then another one in the beginning of june...

well is there anybody else who has tried stockeon?

BTW the video portfolio of 240 files is online since early April on 123rf and gained 40 $ in the first month, and just made the 115 $ benchmark for June alone...Stockeon just sold two more files yesterday and has reached 165 $...for it's first month that's great...still little compared to what Shutterstock and Pond5 return (also online since April)...
but hey...if you got your portfolio organized the upload of 240 files took me just two days, that's already with let's say 8h per day 10 $ per hour return...to be continued

Uploaded some and review is fast. I do good on other sites but I haven't had a single sale yet, yet alone views on my animations/videos. Will hold off until I see some movement.
