Title: Your most ancient clip sold
Post by: alno on February 12, 2016, 11:44

Are there any chances of selling clips uploaded more than 4-5 years ago?

Yes, my 800 odd uploads from 06/07 made me about $2500 in 2015, of course they made me $33000 in 2007 but there's still some residual income there.

Sorry. I was talking about images not clips! I only had a couple clips up that long ago. Hope someone else can help.

some of my bestsellers are from 2004 - 2010, and many from much earlier slides that have been scanned  - these are often niche shots like UN interiors and other shots that some agencies are no longer accepting (children in editorial crowd scenes, etc)

I still do regularly. New clips definitely do much better, but those old ones still have some life in them.

As I started in late 2009 I am not sure if I have "old" content. But I still sell videos every month for the first time ever, that I upladed in 2010/2011 and I never would uplad today.
And on some agencies my newer and defenitely better videos donīt sell at all. It is all about where your videos/photos are placed in the search engine.
