Pitiful, even if they just have a handful of not specially brillant stuff. Selling any size at one dollar, Extended Licenses included. I almost regret not having a portfolio there to delete it inmediately.

Definitely one to avoid at those prices.  There are enough sites selling at higher prices, what is the point in using one that undercuts the others and doesn't have sales volume?  Hopefully they will be taken over by albumo :)

With a portfolio of around 60k images, last time I checked, the only way they may sell is by very low price.

Scanstock is also in this situation - EUR1 sounded nice three years ago, now this is very cheap.

Adelaide

Scanstock sells for 3-4 Euro. It's the commission that is 1 Euro. That is around 1.5 Dollars, and more than my average on most other agencies.

You're correct, but I meant that this is not much, given so eventual sales - I've had none since late October. And reviews are taking weeks.

Scanstock 1.5 US exchange commission (1 EU) is actually good, if they can only get enough buyers. Did they not say they were opening in US too?
I hope Scanstock succeed, I have 2 sales since I joined. A long time to get 2 sales maybe, but compare the dollar exchange, it's like getting 24 subs elsewhere.
Only problem with Scanstock is they take too long to review.

I pinged www.gimmestock.com and got a time out.

BTW, Citizen Image has been also dead for weeks.  At least they could have said goodbye.

Gimmestock is alive again, as I surprisingly learnt from this notice in my email:

Quote
Dear Gimmestock users,

We are currently supporting a beta version of FTP upload, so if you have a lot of images to send to Gimmestock and want to upload them via ftp, please login into Gimmestock.com and fill a support request asking for an FTP account.

This upload process is very easy. All you have to do is have your keywords embedded in the file. No more need to add titles and descriptions. Also Gimmestock has no annoying categories to choose, so... atfer the FTP upload process, the next time you'll see your images is online!

Please note: This primary version of ftp upload is only working for JPEG files. The images will not go to the website immediately, the script will only run once a day to take your images into the website, we are working on a version that will take the images to the website automatically and that also supports vector upload.

I would also like to call your attention for the fact that we are currently making payouts via Paypal to users that have more than $50 in their earnings. The prior limit was $100.

Best regards,
