Title: GL Model Release
Post by: Pixart on August 29, 2016, 10:40
Wondering about releases on Graphic Leftovers.  A high percentage of my port is model released, I sent a batch last night but I can't really see an option other than uploading the release but not attaching it to anything?  Is that correct?

If that is the case, can I just upload my entire release library and then send my daily limit with the images?

Yes, that's sort of how it works.  I tend to send whatever releases along with that batch of photos.

Yes, for now we rely on our sellers to upload all of the relevant releases for the images of identifiable people that they upload.  We will be updating this process and making improvements so that sellers can "attach" a release to each relevant photo.

Oh, please don't.  That is the biggest waste of time at all agencies.

We're going to be exploring options that will make it convenient for our sellers, but also more organized.  We will want feedback from our sellers regarding this to try to find the right balance between organization and ease/speed of use. It's not a top priority at the moment, because the system in place is okay for now.

Is there a reason you need it "organized"?  I certainly don't need anything past what is there right now.

I don't mind the "attach" so long as it is useful - if it links to "more of this model" I think it's beneficial.  But it would also be nice to be able to link releases together through the lifespan of the model.

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.  It's not an improvement---it's a regression.

Hi Julied83,

Your account must be manually adjusted to accept model images/model releases.  Once that is done, you can upload your model releases on the same "Uploads" page in the dashboard that you upload images.  An additional button is enabled for approved sellers to upload releases.  Please private message your email address or username in GL to me, and I will take a look at your account!

Thank you,

Phil

My account is adjusted to accept model release. I tried, my model release goes to relase and my model photos are pending ... ! How can we match together the release and the photo ??? I've been on different stock company for years but this one, I can't figure it out. Also, what about the vector ? How do we upload vector ? EPS and JPG? a zip file ? I can't find any information about that also.

You don't match them on GL.  You just upload them.  It's a great timesaver.

Like Sean said above, with GL, you do not have to match each image with your releases.  It is our contributors responsibility to ensure they are keeping the appropriate releases on file with us.

Regarding how to upload vectors, please visit file preparation guide: https://graphicleftovers.com/file-preparation-guide

In your dashboard, the resources dropdown tab has lots of important infromation including the file prep guide above.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, feel free to post them here or contact us directly at [email protected].
