Title: [Illustrator] How to set EPS 10 as default?
Post by: Beppe Grillo on August 31, 2013, 02:54
When I save in eps format the saving window alway proposes me Illustrator CS[MyActual Version].
(Now Illustrator CC eps)

As I have to save in Eps 10 for microstocks I would like to have as default Eps 10, with all the settings of resolution, conversion of text in outline, etc.
How to do this if it is possible?

Thank you for any help

You can create a template with all of your settings and then open each new document from that template instead of just opening Illustrator and choosing new document (you choose the template button instead). The Save As default will not stick though because most people want to be able to choose their file type from several depending on the final use. Many save their file in several different formats when storing them on their hard drive. If you want to save with type outlines, etc. you may be able to write a script or action to do that but nothing is automatic. Your base template document can contain your desired resolution though. It is strange but I believe to remember that times ago the last used setting for saving was proposed for the successive ones without to have to choose again any time…
Or maybe it was not Illustrator…

I never think to use actions in Illustrator…
And with an action it works exactly as I want!

Thank you for your help
