I have uploaded a small number of files at Veer, and to date I have one file with 4 views and no sales, the rest have zero views.

Anyone here doing well at Veer with vectors? At this point I will give it a little more time, but then I'm going to bail if I don't get any action.

Not so much.  I've had 3 sales since June of this year with 181 files (110 that I uploaded were rejected :/).  So not so much.  Hell I've made more at StockFresh since July than this place.

Course I've only been with Veer since June so I don't know if 3 months is a good indication of well anything really.

I think Veer's target market is mainly designers, which I'm assuming might be part of the problem for those of us that do vectors.

As a designer myself, I'm not to keen on using other people's work in my designs. Stock photos, yes. Clip art, no.

Small number of files you say,  well what do you expect?  small number of files wont get you anywhere, anyplace. This is no overnight miracle.
Get to work instead. :)

Neutral backgrounds are selling well but I haven't had any illustration sales.

I'm new as a contributor to stock images, but I've been buying the stuff for over 30 years.
So far Veer has been my best selling site, not in numbers but my RPD this month is 13.65 usd.
My average RPD is 7.46 usd - getting close to my first payout from microstock.

I put 30 picture up there a couple of months back and have netted almost $80 from them (2 ELs and three ordinary sales) which has left me pretty gobsmacked. I assume I've just struck lucky and that this sort of return is not normal.

same here, my port there is only 300 shots, so far and Ive had 3 payouts in three months. Its turning out to be a good site.

Hey, we must both be better photographers than we thought!

PS: One of those ELs has just been dumped from DT under the "no sales in four years" rule. Makes ya wonder ....

I've only recently began uploading to Veer, and I hope it turns out to be a good site.  With over a month review time, upload limits, and high rejection rate, it's gonna take quite some time to get a decent portfolio there, but I already have three sales with a portfolio of 83 (151 rejections and 48 pending).  I can tell you that I have much higher approval rates and sales at SS.

I'm there for only a month and have only 10 images online because they are SLOOOOOOOW reviewing files. Still I made 3 sales and made $5.95. Not much but considering I only have 10 files up... The good thing is, I think, they pay more than average.

Veer is a bottom dweller.  Not worth the time.  I'm having a BME on almost every other site, but Veer is still returning in the very low two figures a month.  Granted, I gave up uploading to Veer a long time ago, but I still expected my port there to gather momentum at some point.  To me, they rank with Crestock as the losers in this industry.

Certainly does!  but hey, we are the best,  arent we?  if only to tease a few here. ;)

You do realize that this is the illustration forum, and this post was concerning vectors only. right?

I still have to get the rest of my port up on the site.  Is there a better way to get the minimum of 4900px or bigger jpg?  Illustrator won't let me do it and the colors have a slight difference in Photoshop then again I may not have either Illustrator or Photoshops jpg settings right.  So how do you all get the jpg's?

I set my page size in illustrator to 11.5 by 11.5 inches and fill the page with the image in at least one direction. Export as jpg with a custom setting of 450 dpi. This has given me an appropriate sized jpg every time.
Good luck

Thanks chromaco I'll try that and see how it works out for me.  Any time I don't have to deal with photoshop for illustrations is a good day.  I have the last 5 months of 2010 that I haven't uploaded there so hopefully that will speed up the process.

Thanks again.

After not paying any attention for several weeks, I logged into Veer to find a couple sales for about $9 in commissions.

Still not sure if I'm going to put much effort into uploading more, but it is nice to get a little action.  With the time it takes to get files approved, maybe I should upload my 4th of July images now.

My first 10 files are officially online on Veer from October 27th, and the other 10 files have just been approved yesterday. So in a periode of a little more than a month with mini porto, I will consider my having 1 sale there as a good sign...

IMO Veer is well worth submitting to. I do illustrations and my sales at Veer have gradually increased over the years. I made a little over $100 there last month, not much but in most ways it is an easy site to submit to so it is worth in, I think.
