Title: Purchasing new equipment
Post by: Fruitcocktail on September 09, 2021, 08:56
I’m planning to purchase a new illustration/drawing tablet to create more illustration work. I have an old Wacom intuis that doesn’t allow me to draw directly onto a screen, it’s about 15 years old. I’d like to be able to draw directly in the tablet and create high resolution graphics for sale. What do you recommend? I’m worried I’ll get something and immediately want to upgrade if I don’t get high quality.

I have a Wacom Cintiq 13HD and had it for about 9 years now and am still very satisfied with it and highly recommend it.
I don't think it's even available anymore, but I'd recommend to get the oldes (=cheapest) Wacom Cintiq model that's still available on the market. I think the newest one is 22 and costs over $1000, but you can still get older models like the 16 for around half that price.
