vectors - drop shadows, gradients - radial and new freeform

Hi,

I've always used the mesh or blend tool to make gradients and shadows. I tried submitting an EPS recently with gradients using the new free form tool and it got rejected. I seem to remember if you don't alter the shape after applying a gradient it should be accepted.

Has anyone got any tips on this? It would just make life a bit quicker.

Drop shadows are still not accepted I imagine?

Have tried looking in Shutterstock but there are no guide lines about it. I think Fotolia usually accepted them.

When you export in eps 10 the new free form gradient becomes a raster, so it is not acceptable for microstock.
To see if you have rasters in you eps file you have just to open the "link" window. If the file contains rasters they will appear there.

Personally I don't like the way CC2019 manage the gradients. I had some problems, like linear gradients becoming radial gradients after saving and reopening the files.
I also find that it has became more difficult to edit and move the radial gradient in CC 2019.

Two hours ago I have uninstalled CC2019…
I am so much more happy with CC2018!

Ahhhh that's why it was a raster. Thanks for that, that's a great help.

I like the free form tool but no good then for microstock!

Will see how I get on with CC2019
