Post by: cidepix on October 20, 2012, 14:46
I will contact graphicriver about violations but I believe vector contributors MUST check this portfolio in case they see their own images...

ADDITIONAL WARNING:

I won't accuse him/her for these http://graphicriver.net/item/20-boys-and-20-girls-poses/3222717 (http://graphicriver.net/item/20-boys-and-20-girls-poses/3222717)
but I remember seeing them on shutterstock and after all the proven theft above, I don't believe these belong to him as well..

Dirty. I hope they shut him down ASAP
And that they don't just pocket their share of the money he has stolen from you but actually give it to you, but then again I doubt it.

I think only removing what he stole from me is not enough..
It is obvious he is fine with stealing.. Who can say other logos are not stolen from other vector contributors?

In my first message, I highlighted one image that was not mine, but was familiar to me from shutterstock..

I wish I knew him/her so I can let them know as well.. Hopefully more contributors will see their content and file DMCA reports to protect their copyrights..

I think graphicriver MUST shut him down completely.. I am pretty sure that majority of those logos are stolen.. (if not all)

Wow seriously, they haven't shut down their portfolio???!!!!!
That is absolutely unacceptable, I am actually shocked.
They really have an appalling track record with their attitude to copyright on Envato, I thought they were making an effort to do better, but apparently not.
No other stock site would let a contributor continue after so many violations.

Have you posted on their forum too?

No I haven't..

I am waiting before taking this further.. But if they don't shut him down completely, I think I will..

Even one violation should have been enough to shut him down.. Here I have proven 6 violations.. That is a very serious issue..

  nope http://graphicriver.net/user/kikomo/portfolio?WT.ac=item_more_thumb&WT.seg_1=item_more_thumb&WT.z_author=kikomo (http://graphicriver.net/user/kikomo/portfolio?WT.ac=item_more_thumb&WT.seg_1=item_more_thumb&WT.z_author=kikomo)

Looks like they at least took down the images the OP pointed out.  Seems in GR's eyes every other image is fine since they're still there.  If a person is caught flat out by copyright violation and they are allowed to keep the remaining images online, that says a lot about the integrity of the agency....piss poor.

Hello everyone!

My name is Vahid and I'm GM for our Envato Marketplaces.    :)

As you've noted we fairly quickly removed the items following the complaint - thanks for sending the information to us!

Disabling an Author account however often takes a little while longer as our internal processes are followed through. These things just take time to do properly, vs a DMCA which is a pretty straightforward process.

Thanks again for sending such matters over to our support.envato.com site so that we can get on top of them.
