Someone just sent on french photographer forum "Photim" an announce about a new microstock site called "Efotto" with logos, pictures and fonts.
I've just checked and immediately saw the images was stolen from famous microstockers.

Are you certain that efotto isn't a Partner of Shutterstock? In other words, Shutterstock and efotto have made an agreement between themselves and efotto handles photos from SS? This is happening a lot right now.

I read through the French and got the gist of a few sentences, but don't read well enough to know the technicalities of what it actually says. This might be the sentence that explains it right here:

No, I think all is fake: the site has an incredibly unprofessional look and the message says 800000$ are invested in promotional campaigns!!!
Look at the portfolio: vectors, photos etc. came from other microstockers , even the member's picture is stolen!
I've sent the same message in shuttterstock's forum...hope answer will follow...

I noticed that quite a few of "their" images were from Stock Xchange and I alerted the owners of the ones that I recognized. I also posted a link on the forum there. Hopefully something gets done!

a whois on efotto.com says the same person has registered http://aziz-annabi.com/, which derivates in http://boutique.broardell.com/epages/228015.sf which has the same BroarDell branding than efotto and apparently is a printing company in Belgium. and has some telephone numbers at the botton of the page

I am folded in two laughing----- anyone there know what the mean the italian word "fotto"? First person, singular, "I Fuck", but also "I stole"; so it means "e" like electonic, or enhanced, "stole".
Anyone note the Broardell.com means? Maybe it is bordell, I don't know how do you said in english is a bitches house.....

I think this guy is very hironic and like to take people for their ass...... Am I wrong?

I believe if the original photographers send an email to the websites ISP they can get the site taken down fairly easily. Also, Google will remove a site from their search if you notify them of stolen content on the site.

I think the Broardell connection is misleading (having been heavily involved in fake-site killing) before anyone rushes off to kill all three sites:
Broardell.com is registered in Belgium, with a Belgian landline number & registered August 2008.
efotto.com was registered in France, with a French mobile number & registered August 2009.
Both registered on different hosts.
and as for "le site efotto.com benéficiera d'une très importante campagne de liens sponsoriés sur google dans près de 100 pays" - they actually have 5 google hits (whereas broardell.com have several thousand)

The connection is more likely a result of ID theft, and possibly, unless they have been very good at photoshopping, credit card fraud. It would be interesting to know if any of the photos used have had cancelled fraudulent sales.

2 photo with 2000 download the rest have none, they faked the numbers there to. The site is a fraud.
