How are they getting the hi-resolution image files.  I believe they are purchasing the image files with stolen credit cards. Since this business is run out of India, they get away scot-free!

TrueColors from StockXpose is selling an iStockPhoto exclusive image...

"truecolors" has a lot of other stolen ones as well.

Is there a way to report this to iStock?

I sent a sitemail to lisegagne, but also sent a copy of that to contributor relations at istock. Where big name exclusives are concerned, they will be all over it like white on rice. And i don't mean to insinuate that they only help big name exclusives, because I asked for help a while back and they checked into a stolen image problem and responded. I just mean that they will be on top of it...especially if it's hurting big name exclusives.

No need to worry, If we found any stolen images, the user has been blocked and all the user content will be removed immediately.

Plenty of need to worry.  It appears you do not screen or check your applicants at all.

Shouldn't the portfolio of the users who are uploading infringing content just be deleted?  Are we going to have to go through every image and post links to other stock sites?

So does StockXpose get the prize for "Fastest Launch and Death of a Microstock Site"?

What is weird is you would think they would be stealing a little less-known images, maybe just as good in quality though. How stupid is it to steal some of the largest and well-known contributors' images and think you can get away with it? Somebody didn't do their homework.

The images should be starting to come down, I have been informed.

9 images left on StockXpose, lol!

The owner and operator of Stock Xpose is Naveen Kumar (naveenfriendly), a 24 year old guy from India. Also, StockXpose is run on servers in Canada.

What's really interesting about this is that Naveen Kumar had his very own personal account on Stock Xpose... not no more. He deleted it! Why would he do that? Hmmmm, I just can't comprehend what he might have been thinking  ::)  http://i46.tinypic.com/35cpx12.png

What are the odds?! A brand new stock site... and almost all the contributors sell stolen hi-resolution image files by other artists who had no clue this was going on.

Please note throughout this post I added screenshots along with direct links to the webpages I referenced. I did screenshots so you can see exactly what I saw at the time of putting this post together. Naveen Kumar's "cleaning up house" so the webpages might not be the same... but the screenshots will ;-)

One of the biggest issues to note here is that StockXpose has already illegally sold image licenses. The following image that StockXpose sold stood out to me because it is supposed to be an ISTOCK EXCLUSIVE, yet StockXpose has sold it to one of their customers.

go get em Getty!

What do you know?... StockXpose has a Flickr account and the 1 image they have in their portfolio was stolen from iStockPhoto's contributor,  Artur Gabrysiak (creo77).

The stolen image in StockXpose's Flickr portfolio can be found here at iStockPhoto:

Mr. Naveen Kumar (naveenfriendly) stumbled his own website, StockXpose.... take a look at his stolen profile picture as well. I seriously doubt he purhcased a license to use that image!

I also found that StockXpose runs another site called FreeImagesDownload.org which is very similar but instead of licensing images, they just give them away for free.  This site has many pop-ups which crashed my browser so I'd advise looking at the screenshots instead of visiting that site. They only have 50 images at this time.

Naveen Kumar has a personal account at FreeImagesDownload.org with 1 free photo.

I love how quickly the group of contributors here exposed a total scam - and who says that forums such as this are just for venting and such?

Mighty fine research there!!! I hope Getty makes an example of this guy, although he may have removed the content quick enough for them to get any traction.

Guess what?

I just so happened to make a complete copy of StockXpose.com before Naveen Kumar deleted everything from the site!  :o

You act as if you are the victim Naveen Kumar, .... as if the contributors pulled a fast one over you!

Check out Naveen Kumar's  stumbleupon profile pic:

I highly doubt you purchased a license from Artur Gabrysiak (creo77) at http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-7692383-little-girl-drawing.php.
