Hi everyone,
I find that a user with the nickname "dzein" on Fotolia, sells "his" vectors with objects from my illustrations, and maybe of others.

I once sent Fotolia similar case, they wrote me just "please send us a DMCA complaint""
This is the same behavior as with warez sites.
These people know why they are doing this only on Fotolia...

FOTOLIA doesn't care. Their goal is to maximize revenue regardless of copyright. Rather than make it easy for the contributor through their normal contact channels, they require a DMCA which many contributors don't know how to do, and FOTOLIA knows this.  And unless something is done via DMCA the images continue to sell.  That's why their unfaithful, greedy practices precede them.....and they HAVE EARNED IT!!

I wouldn't say only on Fotolia, since it pretty much happens on all the other sites too. The DMCA thing is weird though. I have this bookmarked. It looked useful:

Is there a way, that we can get the money, fotolia earned with stolen pictures?
I knew many cases fotolia earned thousands of dollars with stolen content.

For me it looks like a part of their business-model.
The thieves get 20% and fotolia takes 80%.
The original author get nothing.
Also the algorithm prefers new content.
In the result the originals didn't sell anymore, only the stolen content works.
They earn millions of dollars with stolen content.

Theoretical we can take the money from the thieves with the help from our lawyer. (But normally it doesn't work.)
And it's not correct that fotolia earns money with stolen content !!!  >:(

(I think the other agencies are not much better in this case. Or...?)

Makes sense, especially if an Agency is a real owner of such account. Mass complaints about dropped sales...

Seems to be removed now, couldn't find any of the pictures you linked to.

Two of the three vectors are deleted, but the rest is still there.
I think that he deleted this illustrations. Fotolia would probably block the whole portfolio

Sharpener, magnifier, ruler and divider is still there, he removed only illustrations with alarm clock
In these two magnifier is just recolored to brown.

That's a good question. I'm not sure. I might have to see if there is a more universal one out there.
