Found my image here:

wallpapersbuzz dot com / flowers / two-red-roses-with-red-hearts.html

(Clean up the url to view...I don't want to give the thieves any more search engine placement)

I contacted the site and they were very prompt in removing my image. But not before it has been passed along to yet another bunch of thieves.  ::)

edit: And here is the site where they downloaded it from, for free, and are now redistributing. Won't be long now before it's all pointless...

http: // weni dot ru /wallpapers/2721.html

Take out spaces and change dot to .

A russian site. Open in chrome so it auto translates for you.

You will achieve 'ppl not checking them out' by posting this way. Short attention spans you know... Just post proper links plz, why is that so hard?

"If I don't like the way something is written or in this case the way a link is given, I would just move on to another thread."

Why did you respond to me than... by your own logic? : )

You have not done anything that I have disliked enough or for me to be disinterested enough for me not to return to this thread. You have expressed your opinion on a subject which is a tangent of the main subject, on which I have a different opinion. Your points are not invalid, but I still think sites like these should not have quality backlinks (msg has a very high rank), no matter how little or how much the backlinks boost the sites in question and especially if that is the wish of the OP. Plus like you, I love a good debate.

If something irritates you enough skipping a thread is always an option, instead of continually trying to change a decision that someone doesn't want to change. The OP has read the thread and is sticking to her decision, so yeah the issue is over.

This sounds like that accroding to you, some ppl should make a point, and others should just skip it, altho you admit they have a point : ) I see this, the same problem all the time: people fail at the most basic points of logic, even their own logic. Thats why I get bored with msg boards, most don't want arguments (the main function of boards like this) they just want to hear stuff they fancy : ) They don't even realize this while doing it: they hear something they dont like, they will start arguing that people shouldn't argue, what an oxymoron. Unless they grow up from this attitude, communicating with them is just useless, so I'm off, thx.

Much a do about nothing. Forums are the place for ranting though, so it's good that you've got it off your chest. But if an OP has made a decision to write a thread the way he or she wants to and explained their own reasoning for doing so, I'm more inclined to respect the wishes of the OP, as they are the ones who started the subject. If I don't like the way something is written or in this case the way a link is given, I would just move on to another thread.

edit: thanks for posting cclapper, i had a look earlier and my images weren't in either of those websites.

Glad none of yours are showing. I did recognize some of the nature shots, but not sure of the photographers, so not much I can do. It takes enough time just tracking down one's own stolen images.

Finally we're back on topic :)  I must admit I seldom track my images, but I do look at the threads here when people post stuff they have found and I have a search for my own images too. Cheers again.

Ohh jesus, that single link wouldn't do f*** f*** so how about sparing both of those 10 secs? : ) The real annoyance is of course not the 20 secs, just how dumb this is, truly sorry for being rude but I just can't stand subject illtirate ppl wasting other's energy because they have an urge to play smartasses. This is the big problem with most you ppl, this nonsense attitude... picture this: you let your shot get downloaded a zillion times with hardly any controll, you intend to leave it like that for the next 1000 years, then you want to lessen all the sleuth surrounding it by putting  spaces in the f-reaking url. This is just stooopid, sorry.

...and if you still can't get this out your head, just ask the admin to make links in comments nofollow. It's pretty much standard on most sites.

Illiteracy is a problem I agree.

I'm still stuck on "f*** f***" "'ppl" "smartasses" "f-reaking" "stooopid" "controll" "plz" and probably some more.  ::) I kow English and I don't know text talk or whatever that short code is called now. Part of being old is still using full real words most of the time.

However I do understand NoFollow and maybe we should ask if Leaf has it in the BB code here, in which case lthn makes an excellent point. All the spam posts and links to whatever or us posting a link to an image thief, have NO EFFECT on internet ranks, and doesn't help them. In which case we can post full links without worrying about giving them any benefits with trick dots or spaces. Plus one (.) and it's covered, we don't have to go to extremes to make it useless for the creeps and cretins of the world.

So Leaf? are these forums NoFollow?

For anyone interested... http://www.inverudio.com/NoFollow.php

And you are right about not posting an active link.    That would only help them to get better placement in Google.
Absolutely. The last time someone didn't believe this, I had him link from his fairly high traffic site to my low-ranking one. The boost was almost immediate. For the keyword in question, I rose from goodness knows where to position 9 of thousands, and was in the top 10 in Google for that word from then until I lost the domain name.

Thanks for the confirmations, everyone. It is as I suspected.

I will post links as I see fit. If no one wants to be bothered to check them out, and 5 seconds out of your day removing spaces is too much of a waste, then by all means don't bother.

I always appreciate it when others alert us to thieves, so I will continue to contribute, for those who care.  :)

Where can I get some of that? I could use a boost from a high ranked site.

Oh wait, that's not the same as a link from a message board that doesn't send the data and the fact that Google is blocking some data to prevent people from boosting their rank by spamming message sites. I won't help anyone who might be reading this but there's one way they actually reduce the rank for multiple sites with links. Might seem strange but there is a protection to counteract spamming the ranks.

Last of all, many larger sites now nofollow smaller sites, so they don't help the competition.

For the other part, yes cc I'm not too cripple to add a dot here and there if I really want to see a site, keep up the police work. I don't really care either way. Just pointing out that it's not necessary. If it makes you happy, have fun.

If it did work, all we'd have to do is find the biggest baddest, highest ranked forums in the world and add a tag line with a link to our site and suddenly we'd be hero's and up on top of the Google and other ranks. Honest, it doesn't work that way anymore. The concept assumes that Google is run by idiots who can't adjust to protect their rankings from manipulation but some simpletons spam on a forum. (somehow I think I just called myself a simpleton?)  :-\

Dear author, If they removed your image after your request, so what the problem? i reviewed that first website you were posted, and i think you are not right about posting such topics. Yes, they are allowing to download images, but they are pushing their watermark as security for illegal use of that images, and as they are writing in the bottom of page, this images were found in the internet, on free websites like "weni dot ru" as you mentioned,  And yes, if you will explore for some time and look to images, the quality is not so good as your original image must be, so they are making a lot of work for supplying good security of original image.

Lol, just write them to write that you are the author of the image, and maybe you will get some permission requests which you will sell for some money :D be happy, its just a free advertisement for you. Don't make so stupid thinks to remove images from such places.

As seo and website management expert, I just looked for some images they are posting, and its really the best place to post your image for public home preview  and use as wallpaper for your desktop about security reasons.. take a look on this google query:

http://www.google.lt/search?hl=lt&tbs=simg:CAQSEgkjclA3IqE7miH1g_1SzwHfgKg&tbm=isch&iact=hc&vpx=404&vpy=323&dur=3039&hovh=177&hovw=284&tx=94&ty=274&ei=mQJuTsvhDrPa4QSihtzwBA&page=1&tbnh=131&tbnw=209&ved=1t:2220,r:7,s:0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1580&bih=871&cad=h [nofollow]

and this is one of the images found on wallpapersbuzz, but as you see, everywhere its without any security and possible for public download!!! so no one is doing  anything to secure or supply any information about that image. So as you can understand, the site you were written about, just took that image too, because its free everywhere!!! so firstly write to that 100+ websites who is publishing that image, and only after that, you can write to wallpapersbuzz :) lol.. because its no point anyway.

Please search for your image the same way on google, and you will see the same situation of 100+ websites with free download of your image:

http://www.google.lt/search?q=http:+//weni.ru/wallpapers/2721.html&hl=lt&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=cghuTrncKMSi4gTNrJHgBA&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBAQ_AUoAQ&biw=1579&bih=871#q=http:+//weni.ru/wallpapers/2721.html&hl=lt&sa=X&tbm=isch&prmd=ivns&tbs=simg:CAQSEglUzNQVZWWeyiGP24_1KbhzMsQ&iact=hc&vpx=535&vpy=91&dur=2558&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=99&ty=285&ei=dwhuTtPEIePj4QSsy_CNBQ&page=1&tbnh=134&tbnw=168&ved=1t:2220,r:2,s:0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=d790e6b54a341d00&biw=1579&bih=871 [nofollow]

I will never buy an image to use as my desktop background, but i will look for good image author to buy it for my book or story thumb. Sorry, i just registered to write that wallpapersbuzz is respecting the authors of images, you are no right if you removed your image from that place, but its up to you. Thank you for posting great website link.

One more thing.. why are you using Apple logo on your thumbnail ? Have you got permissions to use it such a way? LOL. who is talking about image stealing? do not be ridiculous with your cry.

And sorry for my english.

Yes, You are absolutely right!. Backlinks are not giving such weight anymore. And its not the way to bust your site for a long time now. Search engines now have more brains than most of people have :D lol.

Linator, you must be from wallpapersbuzz dot com.

Thanks for pointing out that my image is everywhere for free. As if I didn't know that.  ::)

I don't really care if it's in 10 million places on the internet...it is STILL copyright infringement. And if I choose to  send DMCA notices or requests for takedowns to each and every one of them, it's my business, not yours. If you have my image for download on your site, YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL and I am going to call you out on it.

And you'd better believe I am going to tell other contributors about it. Let me guess, you have had other people ask for their images to be removed, hence your new account here and postings?

And sorry for my english.

Actually, I didn't steal the apple logo...it is a chrome image that was on a computer I used to own. Then I took my own photo reflected in the chrome. And I am using it for my own personal avatar, not copyright infringing by giving away someone else's work. I haven't stolen anything.

Please review the definitions and legalities of copyright infringement. Please read the Agreements on all five sites for which I sell my images. While you are at it, you might look up the definition of stealing.

After you have done that, let me know. Then we will talk about who is "ridiculous with their cry."

edit: another newbie who just joined today to try and convince us that it's ok to steal other people's images, because they are posted on the internet. As if it's not stealing if someone has done it before you.  ::)

And, as I mentioned earlier, I don't care if backlinks mean nothing. I will write websites' names who are stealing images anyway I choose. If you don't like it, don't read the thread!

Dear author, If they removed your image after your request, so what the problem?.....

I know from your posts that you are not very bright, but I will try to explain it to you anyway. If you steal something and are caught, you cannot then say "Oh I as I got caught I will return it so what's the problem"
Other people have already downloaded the files from the site, and they like you will use the excuse that they are available from lots of places on the internet (like your site) "so what's the problem".
The way these copies get out there isn't, as you seem to have convinced yourself, that we, for the most part, post large images unwatermarked version for free download. It is that someone initially steals them by using stolen credit cards on subscription plans, or by illegally posting them for download after a legitimate license purchase.
Trolls like you then start distributing them further, illegally, through sites like yours, knowing that it is very unlikely that you will get spotted by the copyright holder.
Unless you live under a stone you know as well as I do that 99.9% of decent professional quality images you can find on the internet are copyright protected.

This is the most important thing to do whenever you find stolen work online.
Here's the DMCA notice page for AdSense websites, please everyone who finds their work stolen fill this in for the offending sites:
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=146178

So important I am posting it here too!
