123RF / 4k @ 123rf for 35 credits
« on: February 17, 2022, 07:38 »
Looks like hd and 4k are priced the same.  Is this new?

I removed my footage from three other sites to avoid the Pond5 price match.. thinking about doing the same @ 123.

I noticed my ftp speed is cut by half while uploading videos to SS (and certain other sites) if the photoshop application is running.  Activity monitor shows the ftp output as being full throughout.  I'm using a mac.  Seems odd.  Anyone else have this happen?

My tax guy recommended that I organize my stock photo and video accounts into a single member LLC.  So I registered one, got the EIN, opened a checking and 2nd paypal (business) account.

I'm beginning the process of changing 15 microstock agency accounts.  Has anyone done this recently?  If so was it easy or were there issues?

Thanks

I learned that this site occasionally gives us a collective voice that sometimes is heard (Veer - Alamy Creative issue).  I also learned that it's possible to save a clipping path within a jpeg.  What did you learn?

General Stock Discussion / RF friendly playing cards
« on: April 03, 2011, 18:55 »
I'm planning a shoot day with a magician in the near future.  I'd like to get a deck of RF friendly playing cards.  Does such a thing exist or are all "face" cards off limits through out the universe in perpetuity?  Thanks

Panthermedia.net / PantherMedia joins the Middle Tier
« on: February 08, 2011, 12:22 »
I noticed PantherMedia kicked it's way into the middle tier (congratulations).  I already have accounts at the top eight.  Kinda wondering... is Panther worth the trouble?  Is it a well run company?  Would love to hear feedback from current contributors.  Thanks

I upload my commercial RF microstock files to Alamy as RF.  However, Alamy does not have a RF category for editorial.  Do you guys upload your editorial photos to  microstock companies and Alamy (as non exclusive RM "L") or do you pick between the two?

Thanks

Adobe Stock / The Mysteries of Fotolia
« on: January 16, 2010, 09:20 »
Istock likes submissions to be noise free and silky smooth.  Shutterstock likes sharpness and bolder saturation.  The nondescript technical rejections at Fotolia have be baffled.  Does anyone know what Fotolia's technical preferences are?
