Taking content offline, hope was a joke.
It will show a bad tactic.
Errors and mistakes do happen.
You might make a mistake or give a wrong answer.
So what? You can clarify it in second time.
Again, i will get it as a joking comment!
:) :) :)

Yes, it was a joke.

Will you be recording it for those unable to make that time? Hope so!

Yes, it will be recorded and can be viewed at the same link after it's done. Well, unless I say something that gets me in trouble...then I'll have to take it offline immediately! Probably best to tune in live just in case :) . I'm hoping to get a lot of questions to prompt the discussion vs me just talking stock. I'm perfectly willing to do so but I think it would be more interesting for all parties involved if it's a Q&A format.

See you there!

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Terms
« on: April 10, 2019, 14:09 »
snip Just a note, you might have missed, Adobe did raise our commissions. Not a big number, but they raised the minimum, and o some reason, most of my subs, and I mean over 50% are 99c, some are 66c and probably the second most value is 33c. I am not a high rank or anything special from FT levels.

Since I have been back with Fotolia/Adobe, well over a year now, I have been receiving those commissions, mostly 99c and above. So I dont think this raise is anything recent.

I came back too, after AS bought FT. It was, some standardization, no more 29c subs. I don't know when the 99c thing started, but I like it!  :) Yes it's an Adobe pricing deal, so it could be from when they started the transition right after they bought FT.

The 99 cent commissions are 33% of the price paid. The royalty rate didn't change, so those are the same. Most likely from a subscription of 10 downloads per month for $29.99 with a one year committment. This is a popular subscription so that is why you see so many of these commissions.

The increase in royalties was to the minimum payment which applies so larger subscriptions such as 750 downloads for $199.99. The volume of content being purchased is so high with these is the reason you see so many of this royalty amount.

You can see the details of the increases along with detailed information about royalty amounts and applicable subscriptionss in the charts linked here: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

We are always looking for ways to make contributing to Adobe Stock a better experience. Any and all suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Hi there ,I own a panasonic g85 and couple panasonic lenses (12-35 and 35-100).I started to upload some photos and videos to istockphoto .As you may now my camera is 16mp , and I want to ask is megapixels so important in stock photography? Do I need to change my camera to a newer one with more megapixes? (forexample a7riii or a7iii).
Thanks ...

I have seen customers that wouldn't buy an image because it did not meet a minimum size requirement they felt they needed. As I recall it was around 4000 megapixels on the long side, they didn't want to even look at content smaller than that.

While I agree with the overall sentiment that the size is not as important as other elements such as keywords and overall content quality in the grand scheme of thingsI do still believe that size matters in stock. My recommendation is to upload the maximum files size your camera is capable of producing. Customers can always downsize the file if they don't want it that big. The reverse isn't necessarily true. You could be potentially limiting your customer base if you upload a file smaller than you can.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Extended License
« on: March 26, 2019, 11:31 »
I had all my ELs on Fotolia set to 100, but now on Adobe Stock they are set to 63.99.
Is there an option to change that back to 100?

The price for Extended licenses at Adobe Stock has always been $79.99 and was never able to be modified. The price was flexible for Fotolia prices and was based on your rank. Now that the contributor functionality has been limited at Fotolia and with the impending complete shutdown of Fotolia this option is no longer available.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe's Categories
« on: March 24, 2019, 16:21 »
Personally I rather doubt buyers use categories to search by much....but its only my theory.  Would be interesting to know from people who do actually buy?

In my personal workflow I spend no time at all selecting categories. Adobe Sensei does a good job picking the most appropriate category in almost all situations and as I understand it, there is little value in the category with regard to generating sales. My recommendation is to leave the category to Sensei and spend extra time on keywording as that is the most effective way to improve visibility of your content.

Would love to be able to see the live dls list that used to be on fotolia.  It just makes it easier to get a feel for what's selling and what's not.

This is the reason we have added the Top 10 Contributors of the week. It's an effort to provide you with real time intel on what is actually selling in the market at any given time. I'm personally finding it fascinating to see what style is currently popular.

Adobe Stock / Re: Images that were exclusive with Fotolia....
« on: March 19, 2019, 16:04 »
If you send me an email I will change the status to non-exclusive for you so you can submit elsewhere. There is little incentive to keep them exclusive currently. Once Fotolia is closed to all then there will be no reason at all to maintain the status. My email is mhayward@adobe.com

Adobe Stock / Re: Change to sales notification email
« on: March 11, 2019, 15:16 »
My two questions on this are:

1. What time will this daily email go out?
2. Will this time be consistent everyday?

Both are important to my sanity.

Since your sanity is at stake, we will do our best to be consistent for you :)

I'm told the emails are scheduled to go out during the morning hours based on the location of each contributor. The specific time will likely vary based on how many emails are in the queue to be sent.

I want to edit the keywords of specific images in my Adobe portfolio. But there doesn't seem to be any obvious way to search my own images to edit the keyword list. I must be missing something. Does anyone have the answer? Thanks

Unfortunately, the only way to do this now is to go page by page. The ability to search in your dashboard page is a top request that has been noted and shared with the development team. I do not know if/when that will be updated however. If I do learn of anything I will be sure to share the news here first.

Adobe Stock / Change to sales notification email
« on: March 11, 2019, 11:52 »
Hi Everyone,

I want to give you a heads up. Starting tomorrow, instead of sending email notifications for each sale you receive all day long, we will begin sending one email per day with the aggregate total of sales from the day prior.

Kind regards,

Mat Hayward

Yep, mine too, finally.

This can happen when the queue is backed up. Usually resolves itself within an hour or two. Thanks for your patience!

Adobe Stock / Re: Editorial Video in Adobe?
« on: March 02, 2019, 23:44 »
Hello, anyone knows if it is possible to upload videos for editorial use in Adobe Stock?

Our editorial content is sourced through outside agencies at this time. We are not accepting editorial submissions from individual contributors.

Adobe Stock / Custom license in activity page
« on: February 25, 2019, 18:44 »
Hi everyone,

A quick heads up. Soon you will start seeing the word "custom" as a license type in the activity statistics section of the Adobe Stock Contributor portal. This sale type is an indication of a custom license from an Enterprise customer.

Kind regards,

Mat Hayward

Adobe Stock / Re: Unable login to adobe stock contributor portal.
« on: February 22, 2019, 11:21 »
Hi Mat, Let me use this thread to try to explain an issue almost similar to this one.
A friend of mine forgot to sync his account .
Now he has an ID in Adobe and when he clicks on "Sell images" the system say "We have detected that you are already selling on Fotolia. Sync your account" . He start his account and the system say "Your password is already in use". He change the password and the trouble  go on something like a loop.
So he can log in his Adobe account instead can not login his account like contributor.
Your advice?
Thanks Mat

He needs to contact support to troubleshoot...the system shouldn't say "your password is already in use" it more likely says "that account is already in use." In which case, he had previously synced the Fotolia account with a different Adobe ID.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe RGB or sRGB ?
« on: February 21, 2019, 17:01 »
Just curious, Do you upload your photos in Adobe RGB or sRGB to Adobe Stock?

Thanks

You should upload to Adobe Stock in sRGB.

-Mat

Mat, what is the reasoning for that...as I have uploaded my entire library in aRGB? :(

It is how the images are displayed. If you don't use sRGB the colors can look "off."

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock took my money away
« on: February 20, 2019, 10:07 »
Mat, this evening I was credited with a subscription sale at $66. Is that a recurrence of the error or a valid royalty amount?

Also, I do not see adjusted amounts in the Adobe Stock contributor interface. The original sales show with their higher (unadjusted) royalties and there is no entry for an adjustment amount. The adjustments do show up in the Fotolia contributor interface.

That is a valid royalty amount Jo Ann.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock took my money away
« on: February 19, 2019, 21:44 »
Thank you for your patience as I worked to gather the facts of what happened. Between February 6 and February 13, royalty rates for some licenses purchased were paid 33% based on an inaccurate price. On February 15, the incorrect royalties were corrected to 33% of the accurate price paid for the licenses.

A follow up email has been sent to the affected contributor accounts with more specific details of the adjustments. The earnings statistics in the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal now show the adjusted amount for impacted contributors.

Again, thank you for your patience. If any new information becomes available I will share it with you.

Adobe Stock / Re: Did Adobe/fotolia sent out 1099s?

1099 forms were mailed via USPS in January. If you have not received yours, please contact the tax team directly via adobetax@adobe.com for assistance obtaining a new copy.
