Shutterstock has teamed up with a few very well known companies and created a pretty enticing photo contest.  Here is the info I have been sent.  It looks like it could be worth your effort of uploading a couple shots.

Quote
...the basic idea is this: any photographer can enter their best travel-related photo, which is then voted on by their peers in an online platform. The top 100 photos that have accrued the most votes advance to the next round, where they are reviewed by a panel of judges (Chase Jarvis, David du Chemin and Zack Arias). The photographer that the judges eventually select will enjoy a trip for 2 to South Africa, including 3 nights on safari at the Lions Sands River Lodge and 3 nights exploring Cape Town.

There are, of course, a whole bunch of photo contests out there at any given time. Here are a few things that we think make our contest unique:

- It's free.

- The contest has a social media voting component, so photographers can present their best work and have it voted upon by their peers.
- This is a great opportunity for excellent travel photographers to break out of the pack and get some recognition.
- We're partnering with the well-regarded B&H Photo.
- The prize, which is the chance to explore and shoot exotic locations in South Africa, is awesome.

Oh my, I just broke the American law by accessing the site from within the boundaries of its ex-colony. I can already hear the roaring thunder of a US gunship approaching my location near the coast.  :P

thanks for posting that.  I hadn't gone to the official rules page yet - I guess that saves me a bit of time (unfortunately)

The winner will have to pay their own air fare as that's not included in the prize package.  States on there somewhere that the $2000 could be used towards that.  Yeah you get free accomodations but the plane tickets there and back will probably wipe out that $2000.
